- Item presented by Danny Baker entitled "Hello Goodbye" on TV chat shows. Shown on BBC2 in 1992 as part of BBC TV Hell night. Features clips from Russell Harty, Wogan, Des O'Connor, Parkinson, Harold Wilson, The Late Show, and One Hour With Jonathan Ross. Guests include Vivienne Westwood (this clip was inspiration for a guest on Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge), David Icke, Grace Jones and Paul Morley
Harold Wilson was suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's.
"2nd lead in this week's Screen Two" would be a step up from many a chat show guest at the moment.
I think it's because they're acting so quaintly in it that makes it funny.
Someone decided to give Harold a shot at interviewing people, he had all the questions written down but by the time he got to Pat Phoenix the questions ran out so he dried up , he just didn't know small talk..
I watched his interview with Pat Phoenix and I actually quite enjoyed it.

i think it's victoria gillick, who led a campaign against teenage girls being given advice on birth control.

@UsedCassetteTape I've always found this with all funny clip shows, no matter who matter who it is I just wish they'd cut out the dull unfunny host monologues and just get on and show the clips. Or keep it to an absolute minimum, just to explain the context of a clip if necessary. Otherwise it's either padding or perhaps it's to justify the celebrity presenter's fee.

Grace Jones really should have been invited on chat shows more often. She was great on Jonathan Ross recently.
