Tim and Eric used to submit goofs and spoofs to the same comedy short festival as Justin Roiland, which is how Jack Black found them, pre-School of Rock. Tim also played a guy in a gorilla suit in a short with Justin Roiland that was shown in the festival. So they did actually cross paths 20+ years ago.
I actually had no idea that there was a prequel to school of rock and that it was named the obvious choice of preschool rock. I obviously don't know if it came out first or if it was one of those new school trends where they actually release the prequel second to the other one that has already been come out and that was first. You know just like they do with star wars movies and franchise and just like the marvel cinematic universe movies and the marvel franchise and everything else. Or maybe it's a sequel and they actually have his character teach a preschool and their students and class to learn and play music. Either way I had no idea tbh.
All of us "School of Rock-heads", or Rock-heads for short, know all about the plan for the upcoming School of Rock Cinematic Universe, SoRCU. Each kid in the band is getting their own origin story, so there will be multiple prequels in the SoRCU. Then each kid will also get their own series of sequels that take place after the original. Jack Black will make cameos in them all, sort of like Robert Downey Jr did in some MCU movies. Us Rock-heads can expect 2, maybe 3, SoRCU movies per year for the next 20-25 years. And since Warner Bros just announced more Lord of Rings movies, I think we'll see some historic Oscar battles between SoRCU films and the new LotR films. Bilbo Baggins and the Hobbit-heads better get out of the way; Jack Black and us Rock-heads are coming to take Oscar every year!
