- Today we talk about the NEWEST Operator in Rainbow Six Siege, Azami. In the new season, operation Demon Veil, Azami has some incredible abilities that in this video we dive into. There are a few misconceptions when playing her however. so it's super important that we take a dive in to the strategy of her new gadget and understand it from a strategic perspective. Doing this allows you to maximize your effectiveness with her and win more ranked games in R6.

using it on maverick holes is goated tbh. I've made maverick kill himself so many times by patching it up as he's throwing a grenade

Yea when I hear that pin I block off the door or window like a second later so if they throw it they kill them selfs or it gives me time to Rotate
that's why maverick should always maverick trick instead of using grenades to take out defender gadgets

Hey quick tip. I don't know to what extent this can be done but in particular I know in Villa you can put a horizontal Kiba barrier on top of the cabinets in Trophy and vault from the table in the middle and get some sneaky beaky angles

@@g.42605 not the point I'm making. Kiba barriers are vaultable. Ergo, place it on a surface horizontally and you can vault to it and get in different spots.
@@imveryaverageatpayday58q9 ok but when you throw them flat on surfaces they don’t expand off of it. You can still get on those spots because it triggers the vault prompt.
Azami is all about gaining control of situations you don’t usually have control of I think.
I play her in site and out of site, I get high kill games

When I use her I usually use it to block myself knowing most of my team runs out of bomb site but I also save a couple just in case they try to rush in. I can block off the door way and waste time so they can’t speed plant it when there’s like 30 seconds left.
Im not gonna lie.... never knew about that cool vibes stairs drone hole... and now I plan to abuse it
Just saying in advance, totaly useless. There are 4 droneholes from the roof (cool vibes stairs, white stairs, aqua behind bar and hall of fame (between VIP and Penthouse)). Pretty much all of them are super situational and need a sneaky droning. May only gamble on aqua hole, cause it's a common spot on gold ranks (they may even not deploy an ADS there). What really seems useful to me, is Gridlock "Trax" on both stairs when you take top floor against kitchen. Nobody wants to risk their life by pushing stairs just for trap deployment, but Gridlock can do this without any risk at all and you may be usefull for your team just by picking that op on kitchen atacks.
@@elaisthicc I see, I never really paid attention to roof drone holes in coast line since I always pre place my first drone on my entry and save my second for a bit later so never really clicked where those drone holes lead. But interesting gridlock tip....... if id use her heh to slow sadly

Placing the barriers outside of melee range is indeed the best way. But there are times where you want to bait the attackers into meleeing them. Like in the stairs of the Clubhouse garage. If you block the entire stairs with that thing you can lure the attacker into meleeing them away while you shoot them from the basement hatch with the ladder.

I really like to put the kibas at the top of some doors because this way me as a defender will always see the attacker before he sees me
Ive experienced some pretty good fakeout opportunities with the kiba barrier
Kiba a doorway just before a push, or around a sneaky flank, when they go to melee break the kiba: impact grenade to surprise forever box 😂🤷🏽♂️ nobody suspects it, and being you hear them melee, you KNOW they’re there for the impact grenade/prefire combo

Something ive found is that all you need to win a site just by fortifying it is a azami,castle,mute,jager and rook/kiad/bandit, you will be able to keep them out and waste time. Another tip is if you place your barrier on the top of a doorway itll block the upper half causeing three things,you will see/hear them before they see/hear you, they will be FORCED to crouch under it if they want to get through without noise, and pair it with a barricade on the other side they will have to deal with an extra layer of noise and defense and REMEMBER KIDS TO BE GOOD AT THIS GAME YOU NEED TO USE UR EARS, idk how many times im spectating a teammate who doesnt hear the enemy going prone or crouching or anything and they die because they dont listen for opportunities or just abuse the fact that 70% of the playerbase doesnt use headphones

You seem to give me a good positive mindset and a smarter way to approach the game.
I like to play her like an achor like garage on clubhouse when you know how azami is a beast up there on the cat walk with line of sight into cash breach plus an wamia or jager (i think i this case waima makes more sens)
On some maps and sites you can also block attackers from being able to vault windows
14:30 for the drone hole above cool vibes, the best thing about azami is that u cant use flashes to “burn” a azami. Compared to jager and wamai.
You can melee it tho 🤷🏻♂️or Nade it. When I play jäger my ads save me your little wall will attract nades and sadly they don’t destroy nades

Could you put the azami on the floor to prevent people from playing below? like once planted you can place azami so you can defuse without being shot from below.
Swriuos question. How do you launch a solo game of 30 min. Like in this video. I tried and it need 2 players
In the mintage, I had no clue what was going on, on Oregon with how many things you were shooting and turning all at the same time
I like to use the Kibas as barricades but in areas where you can't place them.
Think Kafe Dostovesky 3f site white stairs. With two kibas I can block it off and block off window sightlines.

what if u put an azami on a breach and had a teammate throw a nitro on the azami and wait for the melee to set it off
They prob would hear the nitro on the other side of the kiba barrier
@@Nihil660 yes, but they might not realize that’s it’s actually on the barrier, might just think it’s next to it. Or they decide to leave it and therefore permanently block that hole

Pretty decent guide imo. I never use her to "repair" breaches, it really is a waste.
I use her in these 4 ways:
1) I'll use her to extend my cover (If my only cover is pretty fragile or small).
2) To create a diversion and stall an attacker (I'll place them near common entry points, but not too close to where they can be meleed, making it look as if i'm hiding behind it, pretty much halting an attacker because they're hesitant about advancing) This has worked quite a lot of times for me, especially if you can hold an angle from a different location as they "investigate" the barrier. Just be cautious as to not place them in spots where they can be used as covers AGAINST YOU!
3) Like mentioned in the video, to block line of sight long enough for me to either reposition, pass through an open area or fall back completely.
4) This last one actually requires you to pay attention to how the opposing team has been playing, because if they like to speed plant with 15-30 seconds left on the clock, i'll save all her barriers and use them to slow the attackers down long enough to the point they simply don't have enough time to plant anymore.
You should always pay attention to your opponents, it'll offer you vital information and you'll know exactly who the right choice is for your next operator pick.
Tip, Flores can destroy the kiba barrier from drone hole!

I do have one question with azami. If you were to place a barrier on the side of an open hatch, then place a barrier on the bottom of that one can you use the barrier as a floor? or do you break it on fall?

I honestly don't think blocking windows, breaches n shit is a bad play, it can buy you or a teammate extra few seconds to reposition from a bad spot before you get crossfired as an example, just don't expect much more help from that barrier.

Another thing nobody’s mentioned, I was once in a 1v2 vs ash and lion. 2nd floor chalet bedroom site. I don’t remember the name of the site but it’s the one with the big wall and that little 90 degree piece of cover. Lion had just planted behind that cover and then ran into piano (big wall still reinforced), ash was downstairs blowing up the floor under defused so she could watch from under. I blocked the doorway to piano so Lion couldn’t protect and then threw some on the floor where the holes were that ash had just used all her explosives to open. So not only could she not see me, but I was also completely unkillable because she couldn’t shoot through them. I was able to get the defuse before Lion even realized what happened and punched my barriers down. Any line of sight is blockable now, even vertical play. Also usable as instant protection for defuses and such. Absolutely insane operator this season.
