早在十四世纪就有渔夫和农民在勿洛生活。现在的勿洛经过填海工程，已发展成组屋市镇，周边厂区也带来生气。老牌包点“新美兴”一家两代屡创先河，从引入包点制作机器到开发清真产品，为工厂扩展新局。吴权胜经营流动游乐设施生意，要把童年的欢乐带给现代的孩子。孙利顺最早在德福巷开设咖啡烘焙工厂，曾经历火劫低谷。搬到设备更先进的勿洛厂房后，他立志带着新加坡特色的咖啡冲出海外。

I don’t drink coffee often. As a child, only at my grandparents house. The last time was at my grandfather’s funeral in 1974. A few years ago, I tried Starbucks coffee. No idea what blend or mix. But I was surprised, it tasted like my grandmother’s coffee. This is the taste I remember. My mother also brewed coffee like my grandmother’s. The fragrance of the coffee was overwhelming. Unfortunately only my father drinks coffee in my family.
