The CPU-Usage category is won by PP in my opinion.

Totally agree with the ease of use - I've had Phaseplant for 6 months and I'm only now really confident I can make the sound I want to from scratch.

Are you sure that's a valid comparison? Phase Plant already has lots more possibilities for synthesis types within it, no? You COULD however compare Vital to Serum... Phase Plant seems closer to Pigments in capabilities...

Great to hear from you David. They are very different you are right, it’s just that they are personally my favourite 2 synths on the market at the moment!:)

Phase plant has free lifetime updates. Does Vital give the same for its Pro version?

i don't know phaseplant but what is surprising with vital it is extremely easy to use compared to its capabilities. So it is always possible to make "more complexe" vst with more possibilities but the question is : ARE THEY EASY TO USE ???

To me, on paper, Phaseplant should take the cake - the endless possibilities to modulate generators and effects are incredible. But idk, it just doesn't impress me sonically with what I can make or what I'm hearing from the youtubers that I follow compared to Vital, Serum, Zebra, Omnisphere, etc. The filters and effects are just meh - extremely modulatable - but meh nonetheless. If I could just use one word to describe my overall impression of the sound of Phaseplant, and of course this is highly subjective, it would be "antiseptic".
