    This is a pretty clean and detailed vid.. actually looks like a piece of cake. Hopefully I can get right to it. Lol im praying these bolts aren't impossible to loosen like some brake calipers 🙄🤦🏿‍♂️. Looks smooth though, and this D.I.Y. video is actually just in time because my coilovers come in tommarow.
    Thanks bro

      It’s really straight forward, the hardest part will be the lower struck bolts because depending on how corroded and how long they’ve been sitting it’s gonna be a mission to take them out and also wiggling the shock out is time consuming. But I did it for my first time and it wasn’t bad. Thanks bro

    Hey man, great job 👍. Just curious, I'm ready to pull the trigger for these but I still want a good ride with just a bit firmer setup and adjustability. Are these much harder than oem or just a bit? Are they actually good quality? I'm used to Bilsteins but they aren't available for our TL. Thank you for your time both on the video and the question!

      Ride is about the same on TEINs. I’d say after 20-25k miles it begins to get a stiffer ride. But overall 8/10

    I had the same look a year ago. Now im slightly tucking tire with a few millimeters of poke 18x9.5 +15. I believe 18x9.5 +22 is the most popular i’ve seen on this car and it’s flush so if you want functionality increase the offset. But the higher offset you go may not clear brembos

    After lowering the car have you had any trouble with suspension components or did you upgrade the ball joints or axles ?
    I’m want to install the same tein and any advice is welcome
    Thanks and keep up the good work

    • @vicstl5331
      @vicstl5331  Před 3 lety +2

      I haven’t had any trouble with anything after lowering. Only think I recommend is an alignment! Which one you lower you’ll need to get an alignment kit .

    I just recently brought a set to replace my old set . One of the fronts leaked out on me and was dead. Noticed yours sit right above the wheel , mine has the wheel tucked . I'm rubbing the fender on turns, scraping the bottom going in the driveway smh . I don't have the spring compressed at all an it makes no difference. Wish mine sat like your front does. My first set from 4 years ago the front sat right above the tire ...loved it . Not now lol

    Is the impact wrench absolutely necessary? That's what I meant about the impossible bolts.. lol. Is it doable with a Socket wrench set or no?

    • @vicstl5331
      @vicstl5331  Před 4 lety +2

      You will need the impact is youre reusing the top hats. Since the top hat is on the oem strut and can’t loosen that top nut with just a socket and wrench cause it needs to spin faster then the shock its self.

    • @vicstl5331
      @vicstl5331  Před 4 lety +2

      You have to use an impact. You won’t be able to do it by hand.

    • @hmoob-dab-tsi7572
      @hmoob-dab-tsi7572 Před 4 lety

      I would spend a bit more money for the advance or flex. The adjustable damping makes a big difference. Plus tein r made for us roads, bumpy roads. It’s not going to be super stiff for like track use.
