To fix the different porosity issue I found that using a clear gloss before the toner helps alot; hair mask works too .

As a regular subscriber the separate uploads are totally fine with me! I actually like it that way as it gives me more content to watch. And even though I'm watching for entertainment and not because I have questions, I still learn new things or different ways to do things all the time watching your videos.
girl you're stronger willed than I am, I can't go more than 6 weeks without touching up my roots cause my hair is so dark and I don't want to risk bands from it keratinizing. I love your videos and always tell my clients they should watch you. def recommend avoiding the half inch at your scalp when doing your roots next and going back in at the scalp once the section between the scalp and previously lightened hair has almost finished lifting, thats what I have to do to avoid this same issue if i let my roots get too long!!

I feel you on this... I haven’t done my hair since the beginning of October and my roots are a hot mess 😂 but I’m waiting until I get my hair cut in a couple weeks to finally recolor.
I relate so much to what you’re saying in the voice over, I’ll really like.. obsess over tings that are wrong woth my hair colour. So now I’ve been trying to accept that I just can’t have bleached hair - I’m way too impulsive (hi adhd👋) and change the colour too often, and then I’ll obsess over how damaged it is🤦

Love you Aislinn! 🥰 Weird thing I've experienced with these products that I've seen others experience too... I use this developer with the matching Blondme lightener to bleach my roots, and I usually use the wella developer with T18. I've done this for years. One time last year I was out of wella developer and I used the Blondme developer with T18 and the toner got like thick and gunky feeling in my hair when trying to rinse it out and i had to end up shampooing my hair 3 or 4 times to get the product out... I guess it was some sort of chemical reaction? I was terrified. 😨 I looked at reviews for the Blondme developer and a couple of people had the same experience as me using the Blondme developer with Wella toner. No idea what the cause was but just wanted to put that out there as a warning to anyone that this has happened to me and others so be careful💙

I feel you 100% girl. Doing my roots is such a task but I still insist on doing my own even though I belly ache the whole process 😂 I usually do a T14 when I redo my roots and drag it out with T18. When the color fades after a few weeks my roots are white 😊

I am also a fan of wella t18,my absolute favorite is the redken shades eq but I can't afford those anymore. So I don't know know if you have seen the new wella color charm creme toners but they are incredible😁 Pearl grey has replaced t18 for me! My new growth was still pretty yellow and it is now an even bright white! I would love to see you try them,they have 4 pastel and 4 Ash Blonde toners!
I think that would make sense that when the ends fade it would match the roots? I think the result is a lot better❤

Guys and gals, you need to bleach your hair to a level 10 before using a super light toner. Sometimes level 8-9 pulls too yellow for toners like T18.
Yes! This is the problem with T18, not that it's a bad toner but that people slap it on before their hair is lifted enough for it to work properly. Or apply it the same all over when their roots are way more yellow than their lengths and expect it to somehow even everything out, like the toner has a brain and knows it's been applied over different colors😅

She tried. To no avail as of now bc this stuff is here to stay. After atomic war there will be nothing left but cockroaches with bright pink mandibles.
Either highlights the brassy with foil . Or take small selection slice . Add foils between them .
Have you tried Kiss semi-permanent colors? They're $5 at my Dollar General for 4 ounces. I really like the blue.
I know right every other person that I see talk about T18 any other hairdresser whatever they're like don't use 20 volume but it literally says to use 20 volume on the package and I agree to I always use 20 volume when I apply It especially if your hair is still a little yellow it gives that extra little lift to coat it more of a white but everybody has their own way
I'll say it again, this is perfect for you. Keep it for a while.
If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend trying the keracolor clenditioner in platinum as a semi permanent toner. It's a pigmented cowash that cancels yellow hues. It's amazing as a cowash but if you apply it to dry hair as you would a semi permanent color, it can definitely deposit some serious pigment to tone. It also smells amazing!

Ok so how about trying T14 maybe ?? It always turns my sons hair a beautiful silverish white !!! It leans more towards grey side but one wash usually takes that away !! Also I recently tried ion platinum lace which did turn my roots grey but I washed once w head n shoulders n it was perfect!! Either way everything honestly looks great on u ❤❤❤
I use T14 too. And my real hair color is black. Love it.

We are the same. 💜always redoing my hair. I would be the worst client for a stylist. I’d rather just do my own hair and have fun with it 😊
When I use wella t18 my hair looks like yours but I don't leave it I can't handle the yellow I would rather have it a light purple my husband hates it when I bleach because I am putting color after color for about a week till I get the yellow not noticeable but I use semi permanent colors

I still don't see this as a fail! It's so hard to lift roots to be as even as the rest of your hair. The finished color was really pretty! Let those roots rest and figure out your next step. I didn't see how you bleached your hair, but if you wait till your roots are longer, maybe try using foil? I have my hairstylist use foil when my roots are long because I have harsher bands if we don't. 😅 I hope you can find happiness in your hair!! It's really pretty!

😂 same omg believe it or not. I bleach my hair then wait 14 days and go back in with a box bleach and toner like super blond or some crap from the store and boom even hair and my hair is dark. Toners are just annoying I won't do them anymore don't last. I just use purple shampoo once a week after that.

I know you're trying to bleach less often to avoid damage, but I think it may be backfiring on you. With such long roots, it's processing at different speeds because your oldest regrowth is too long to get the heat from your scalp, and causing banding. Not a cosmetologist, just watch them on CZcams!

If you want to be white you realistically have to keep it bleached and pretty much leave it white. It’s a super hard colour to maintain. I tried to get there and just couldn’t.
