I've seen some of those other videos, and I'd agree, the lighting is the best here. And, the song "Tanz" by Hiss is a lot of fun.
The guitar in this song was incredibly unexpected... pretty much all awesome in this video.
The choreography behind this is amazing! Wish it was in a higher resolution.
It's so easy! No sewing involved. The dancers just strategically share pairs of tights. That's why they look 'joined at the hip' here. Each girl has one leg in one pair of tights (white, and their other leg in another pair of tights (black). I guess the girl on each end tucked the extra white leg under their t-shirt.
But the Shirts? Rhode must be sewed...or Glued?🤷🏻♀️

actually if you google search Strumpfhosentanz and then click on videos you will see lots of people doing this dance. This is probably the best one though due to the better lighting .These girls are preforming for a march 8th women's day celebration at a University in Kazakhstan. March 8th there is like February 14th in the US.

If you just look at one of the girls at the end, it suddenly looks incredible mundane.
Looks like The two end girls have on half of the same pair of tights- the rest of the girls are sharing tights (two girls, one tight). The tops to me look like cut shirts reassembled- maybe sewn to the tights with a zipper in the back?

They"re sharing leotards, that's why you thought that they were sewn together at the hips. One lady has her left leg on the right side of the leo and the next one has her right leg down the left side. The crotch area is that little span of fabric between their hips. Your keen eyes have caught the trick of the illusion. Having the crotch area (I hope that there's a better word for that) between them helps to trick the eye into thinking that a person is moving when they do their leg work.
looking at the video closer, I think you're right on the leotards...it doesn't look symmetrical in the groin region, but the blouses cover that anyway...you don't have to be a seamstress for the leotards

they look like they're sewn together at the hip. Then I'm guessing that you need two girls that are the same size, one buys a black leotard, the other white. Split 'em down the middle & sew 'em back together. Each partner in a pair have the black sides sewn together. Then pairs are joined with the white sides sewn together.
at least that's my best guess...I'm not a seamstress!
