It's unfortunate that u didn't watch Shaktiman serial closely. Serial clearly showed in title track how Shaktiman is evolved through Kundalini Jagriti. Superman was born in alien planet. Shaktiman born out from Yagya of Rishi. Shaktiman was not hero type but an idealistic person who won't do wrong and follow his Dharma to serve justice to innocents. Shaktiman is like Lord Ram in nature always truthful and Upholder of Dharma with powers from Hanuman ji. All Khan and most of other stars have bad reputation at some point in life. Even when Prabhas announced he is doing Adi purush, people went crazy but end results are bad. That is why Mukesh ji is hesitant to cast new face who can justify his legacy. Shaktiman is not Marvel or DC superhero but idealistic super hero who can teach good things to younger audience.
His unparallel obsession with Bhishma & Shaktiman coupled with his "main ek zamaane me 15 films ka hero tha" rant is not allowing him to come out of his ego shell.

Shaktimaan has more of a sentimental and nostalgia value than a cinematic one. Everyone knew that it's a cheap Superman knock off yet people still love it because it reminds them of a simpler childhood spent watching DD National. Mukesh Khanna ji justifiably deserves to be remembered as Shaktimaan but cannot demand his absolute authority over it. It's milking a dead cow at this point.

As a genuine Cinema fan, i think Ranveer Singh is the best actor to portray Shaktimaan. Gangadhar's comedic relief & innocent, and Shaktimaan moral thoughts with mature personality. Both personalities are very different & Ranveer is extremely versatile actor he proved everyone time to time. Separate "the Art" & "the Artist". In the real world every person has personal & professional life separated. It is very sad that Indian Cinema could never progress due to narrow minded thinking.
I had my doubts started the day Sony announced Shaktiman. Bcoz I knew that the perception and expectations which MK has from Shaktiman is not gonna be Sony's cup of tea and not just Sony, but any studio's cup of tea and also MK is gonna be very serious with everything they do with Shaktiman since it was probably his most successful work. He expects an actor who has no image at all to make the character more "Dharmik" but what he fails to realise is he needs a good actor and not a divine entity. Shaktiman isn't any God but a character that inspires at the end of the day. He's not making a RAMAYAN but rather a Superman kinda superhero with a slight twist in the origin which is connected to our Indian spirituality (which is the only unique and interesting part of this character). So even if he's choosy he shouldn't demean others in the garb of them not fitting in his vision.

Really needed this video, it's not that we don't respect him but one should know at certain level when you speak it could effect many thing socially, he used to be legend but because of his recent interviews and podcast he is now a mere self obsessed, selfish, egoistic guy. Hope he open his eyes soon.

As a genuine Cinema fan, i think Ranveer Singh is the best actor to portray Shaktimaan.
Gangadhar's comedic relief & innocent, and Shaktimaan moral thoughts with mature personality.
Both personalities are very different & Ranveer is extremely versatile actor he proved everyone time to time.
Separate "the Art" & "the Artist".

I had my doubts started the day Sony announced Shaktiman. Bcoz I knew that the perception and expectations which MK has from Shaktiman is not gonna be Sony's cup of tea and not just Sony, but any studio's cup of tea and also MK is gonna be very serious with everything they do with Shaktiman since it was probably his most successful work. He expects an actor who has no image at all to make the character more "Dharmik" but what he fails to realise is he needs a good actor and not a divine entity. Shaktiman isn't any God but a character that inspires at the end of the day. He's not making a RAMAYAN but rather a Superman kinda superhero with a slight twist in the origin which is connected to our Indian spirituality (which is the only unique and interesting part of this character). So even if he's choosy he shouldn't demean others in the garb of them not fitting in his vision.
