This video is a scam. I have 4 watches from Venezianico and I have used their service a few times. It was always excellent. I had one that I needed to change and they sent FedEx to pick it up and bring me a new one. Thousands of customers share the same experiences on a daily basis. So no, your video is just kot justified

The movement thing with their Kickstarter was because they didn't get enough movement, they calculated less intrest before.
I had 3 watches from them all of them works great, running well while there is quite a big difference on the timegrapher but all of them but none of them are too bad. These are well manufactured chinese watches with italian design, their bracelet is trash btw.

There are several things I couldn’t agree with how you’ve geared the narrative around this livestream, I believe you have your opinions, and that’s totally fine, however it’s kind of dirty and biased the way you’ve come out by saying things like “tungsten rose gold” first of all the model you purchased it doesn’t have a tungsten bezel, you know that or at least should since it’s listed in the description of the page that you also showed in the livestream.
You show a biased and empty complaint of Mechaniche Veneziane, from their kickstarter phase, kickstarter products are prototypes, beta, alpha products, they are rarely if never the final products, you describe their change of the Mechaniche Veneziane name to Venezianico as something shady and a scam when there are numerous reasons they could’ve done the change, such as ease of reading or brand recognition and memorability. Sure it’s most definitely to also in doing so as a way to distance from their kickstarter reputation. However that doesn’t mean that they have inferior products.
Their switch from ETA movements to Sellita, to be honest besides the order quantity issues could also have roots in that ETA is pretty much controlled by the Swatch group and being such, a microbrand would always be at the hands of whether their supply could be cut or altered in any manner. And in no way a well regulated sellita movement is inferior to ETA movements. Then again you did happen to pick a Japanese Seiko movement so I don’t think you even care that much about the movement in the first place…
You presented a business messaging you on WhatsApp as something shady, when it is actually a sign of a good and common e-commerce practice… In the world we are in, a email reminding of your items in your basket will most definitely all of the times be ignored in comparison to something that seems more personal messaging from WhatsApp… By the way it’s common and well known that on most e-commerce platforms when you have something in your basket and leave the check out after filling in your email, phone number, etc. you will usually get a message whether through email or in this case message or WhatsApp.
All that a side, I do believe Venezianico can most definitely improve their QC, among maybe a few other things. However we forget that it’s still a small atelier microbrand with less than ten years in existence, but we are expecting the same funds of companies that has a global presence from the likes of Swatch Group brands or other of the better funded brands.
I say this because having to pay for every shipping on possible returns will mean a significant increase on the sale price of their products, while larger companies have the margins, a small company like Venezianico will definitely struggle to do that if not be crippling.
You have to remember people return watches for all kinds of reasons, and most of the times there isn’t even anything wrong with the products and they return just because of a change of mind, so all this means people will also try to have Venezianico cover their shipping cost even when their watch has nothing wrong.
I just wish you had thought of these possibilities without jumping to conclusions and declaring something is a scam.
Things are sometimes simpler than they seem and not everyone is trying to rip you of your money.
I don’t care about what you have to say if it’s your opinion.
However if you are going to do a “PSA” type of video, please at least have some integrity and understand both sides of the coin.
Finishing off, I do believe what you pointed off are things Venezianico can improve on, such as QC and customer support. However I would avoid of calling it a scam or shady, as there would be no reason for them to invest that much money designing the watches they do and put in the amount of effort they already do in QC, I understand you happened to get a dud and that is a miss in their system, but I would encourage you to understand things better before doing this kind of misleading and biased videos without doing the proper research.
If you search with the objective of proving something you will find things that seem to prove it, but if you look at the reasons why these things happen things might be clearer.

I bought the exact same watch. For me there was a misalignment on the 12 marker that I caught immediately the moment I looked at the watch the first time. Took forever to return it. These aren’t at all cheap so the QC should have been MUCH better

I had a similar experience with Ball, supposedly a respected Swiss brand. Will never buy from them again and they left the impression of a total scam brand, although others have been happy.
I remember the original MV scandal. Once they switched to Seiko movements, I bought two, no issues. After the re-brand, which seemed an obvious effort to distance themselves from their own mess, I bought two more, again no issues. I agree their models are overpriced compared to other options.
One bad turn is all it takes to leave a terrible impression. Your outrage is justified for that experience, although if their policy is not to pay for return shipping, then it is what it is.
The FedEx ire is so relatable! I'm waiting for a re-route now, haha, no delivery date provided, although when it's not signature required, FedEx will just leave stuff outside in the rain. Horrible service.

@@NotAWatchSnobMe either, considering their standing as a brand. Bought a two grand Roadmaster from an AD (with a well respected reputation), arrived with lint under the crystal. Returned it to AD for exchange, or even just cleaning, who said he'd send it to Ball for replacement. Weeks later, came the "replacement," but with same serial number, same watch, and still the same dirt. Gave up on the AD, spoke with Ball, who said to send it directly for replacement, and it came back, months later, the same watch, again, not exchanged, with MORE gunk somehow and a massive scratch to the case back. Unreal. All return shipping was paid by me each time. Returned it finally to the AD for refund, who said I'd be reimbursed shipping, which I never was, although finally received the refund at least. Oddly, my affordables have not let me down, but I've had issues with "better" brands beyond just Ball. My local Breitling AD was a total jerk, for a simple Breitling bracelet sizing, but zero problems with gray market dealers on many other buys, so go figure. Fun hobby, but sometimes can be very frustrating.

I’ve had problems with Panerai and Rolex and occasionally this brand and this brand is by father fastest to reply and remedy. This guy can’t even say the name right and he clearly doesn’t even understand that Alessandro is actually one of the owners. he went to buy a cheap watch in the sunset that it’s not expensive and then apparently he haggle to get it even cheaper. This guy does not know what the heck he is doing and what he saying. He is an embarrassment to any watch reviewer honestly I’ve never seen so much dribble from someone’s mouth , I will never watch him again
