I’ve always thought of price per use and resale value. My husband made me a stamp platform back in 1998 before he died. It broke about the time Tim Holtz platform came out. My family replaced mine when Tim’s was removed from USA market but got the big one for $25. I bought the travel one for $12. One item I would add to your list is the Tim Holtz glass media mat. It is used every time I craft. If u can’t afford it you can just work on glass and buy the replacement white mat. When my husband died I took over his metal magnetic bowl and a telescopic magnetic tool to get dropped items from the floor. Both available from auto part stores. Each person has to choose what is important to their craft making. I loved eyelets and still use them once in awhile. I haven’t gotten into the sequins since a pkg would last me a lifetime. I did buy white and clear that I color using alcohol inks. There are so many options for supplies. Each crafter should seriously think before a purchase, not impulse buying. Then...use what you purchase. Happy crafting all. Stay safe!!

Megan Harrington. Did the find the telescope magnet? I broke my back/had surgery with plates n screws last yr so I use mine a LOT. I save that tacky stuff that comes on the back of a credit card when they send u a new one. Put it on/off the telescope to pick up light nonmetal items I drop as well. A grab it tool lives in my craft room for heavier items.
Megan Harrington. Have another idea for you. My friend gave me a “template handle” made by Missour Star Quilt Co. it has suction cups that holds a template. I tried it with a Sizzix On the Edge Cutting Pad.pad is 3 1/4” x 6”. I put stamp on and the handle on other side and was able to stamp holding the handle and adding pressure with the palm of my hand. It worker great and did not hurt my arthritis in my fingers.
Agree 100% on your Misti recommendation. I couldn’t use a stamping block and get a clean stamped image to save my life. Spent the money on my Misti and never regretted it. Use it all the time and even taught my 6 year old grandson how to use it. Enough said.
Justine, I concur 100%, every item you mentioned is spot on! The only other tools I use regularly which you did not mention are two tweezers. One is flat needle nose, the other is a reverse tweezer which grasps and must be squeezed to let go of what it's holding. I can't explain why, but I can much easier align things straight or put them exactly where I want them if I use a tweezer. For large items they're not necessary. But for small and tiny things other than sequins or gems, I use them, so tiny flowers,, paper piecing, paper inlays... Maybe it's just my pudgy thumbs and fingers, or occasionally too much caffeine, but I can't imagine crafting without both type of tweezers.
I discovered washi tape only a couple of years ago and I can't imagine why anyone would NOT use it constantly. I use it on nearly every single project I do, whether it's cards or something else. It's such a quick, convenient way to add a pretty accent to anything handmade.

I don't have a "Misti" as such...but....I found a "Stamp Perfect" (by Hampton Arts) and it was only $24.97 (plust tax) at WalMart here in Canada! It does the same job...at half the price!
Enjoyed your video and found that I also used most of the things you named . the one I don't and still think is not worth the price is the Misti ! there are so many others that are just as good but a much more affordable price. even though Misti company owner tried to get rid of all the competition. the ones still around that they could not make go away are from We R Memory Keepers, and Crafters Companion. I was blessed to be able to also get Tim Holtz before Misti made them go away. Misti for all of it's high price is not any better then any of these I know because I bought one when they first came out. Don't use it let the kids play with it I use the others. Misti (Sweet Petunia) is greedy and they don't play well with others!
I know a good amount of information about the story behind the product. If people only were able to know the real story, I'm pretty sure they would think differently about what happened. You're welcome to play with whatever tool you like. MISTI was the first tool and the last one needed and I love it. I love supporting a woman-led business and someone who really created something innovative.
@@justinehovey I agree it is your choice to support whom ever you feel is the best to meet your needs and if that is Misti for you that is great! for me it is not and I do not support a company just to support a woman I support companies that meet my needs at the best price point possible and play fair and kind with others not want to kick everyone else out just so they can command a higher price which is what it seems like Misti did. what if every company said oh we are the first to make glitter so no one else can make and sell glitter, or heaven forbid red rubber stamps how many of us would be crafters? By all means support who you choose and as you say maybe I don't know the whole story but no one is telling the whole story including you. and for my use I get far more bang for my buck choosing a different stamp positioner.
I love the Tim holtz platform too and the precision press. Misti is so over priced and she did not invent the printing press. The other stamp platform that is phenomenal is by stampin up.
My Sweet Petunia innovated stamping with the intention of her MISTI. She made these in her garage until demand for it exceeded her ability to produce them by herself. She took the initiative to start manufacturing them at her own cost. She also got it patented to protect her intellectual product and protect her financial risk associated with inventing something and bringing it to the masses. Imagine after having the initiative to invent something and then big companies copying your idea and selling them cheaper because they have the ability to order crazy numbers of them. My Sweet Petunia is WELL within her RIGHT as a patent owner to insure her patent is not infringed upon. These big companies take a risk, knowing she has a patent, and still producing a very similar product. I’m glad she has the tenacity to stick up for herself. Obviously, people who bash her have never had a valuable idea stolen from them. People have no idea what the particulars are behind the settlement between MSP and Tonic. If they can work together after this case, it’s obvious that Tonic knew the proper thing to do was settle. They are now partners and have a great working relationship. The MISTI changed the stamping world. I’m proud of her.
Hi. Another plus for getting rid of inky fingers is that hand gel we use for sanatiser!! It's alcohol based as we know and we can use for cleaning stamps etc. Happy 2021 everyone! Xx
I love love my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. We are fortunate in Australia that we can still purchase it as the patent issues that led to it being withdrawn for sale in 2018 are only for the US and Canada. And it is more economical than the way overpriced Misti
Megan Harrington - yes we can. It is still able to be sold in the U.K., Europe and Australia. I just found it on a Tasmanian website called Bevs Cross Crafts for $53 Plus $12 postage. On Craft Online it is $75.
I managed to find a used STAMPARATUS on eBay (can position F-O-U-R layered stamps for multi cards; NOW I just have to be able to afford the Alte's stamps to use it that way)!!! I DO like it very much, but, while on a trip, and needing a diversion (!), I made "a stamping aid" with a relatively cheap "Document Frame", some heavy-duty tape, and craft foam for padding. Light weight, and works great!!
Thanks Justine - I agree with your approach. I also include the s/h & taxes as well. The 2nd thing I consider is how many hours do I have to work for this item vs it's future usage.
About Adhesive, these are some of the things that I do to keep the costs down. For liquid glue, I use mod podge, I bought a 32oz tub over two years ago and a precision tip bottle and I just keep refilling the small bottle using a needleless syringe. I think I bought the tub for less than $12 and it's still 4/5 of the way full after several bottle refills. For tape runner, if that's your fav/go-to, check out the Elmers one that Michaels sells. The replacement cartridges come two to a pack and they're only a few dollars; Michaels also has sales and coupons all the time so you can easily stock up for cheap. For double-sided tape or foam tape, I tend to buy mine on Amazon or eBay because you can find it several roles for less than $5 and it comes in a variety of sizes. Additionally, and I haven't tried it but it comes recommended, if you're in the states check out the dollar store for foam tape. I've seen many crafters use the dollar store stuff with great success. I've also heard of people using Uline for double-sided tape, as it's also supposed to be relatively inexpensive.
The blending make up brushes that dollar tree sells are comparable to the ones that the craft companies sell. I have tried both. The only difference is the handle. I use baby shampoo to clean n them.
WHAT?!? Dollar Tree now carries the "handled" BLENDING BRUSHES?!?!? Some time back I bought their STUBBY ones to try. Even fitted them with PVC tubing "collars" so they'd be less "smooshable", but have YET to give them the test. Have you Y.T'd a demo of them for us as yet?? ((I don't ask m-u-c-h, do I?? Yes, I do...accept my apologies, please))
They are in the makeup section. They are makeup brushes. There are multiple sizes. I 1st saw them last September. Some of my stores still carries them. I got one to test before I invested in some more. Someone gave me a set from a craft company. I like the dollar tree ones as well as the expensive ones.

My Misti is probably my most useful stamping tool. I lucked out and got it on sale at Amazon about a year ago. I had just taken up card making again after almost 30 years.
Misti.you are so right. I held off for a while, I didn’t get good results with a stamping block. I’d drop the stamp on a good result. I didn’t like the blocks I had, didn’t feel “right” in my fingers. I’d loose the silly clear blocks, especially the small ones. I’d buy bore blocks hoping to find one that was comfortable in my hands ( or because I didn’t find that silly lost block). I wasn’t really enjoying card making like I’d hoped. I finally bit the bullet and bought one. OMG. Why did I wait? I was getting good results. I was ENJOYING crafting. I use it all the time. Christmas cards, little matchbook looking sleeves a special candy that we hand out as thank you s along with tips (when we went out to dinner in a different world) just because cards all so much easier, and FUN!

A couple of years ago I somehow stumbled across a site from the UK called 'CraftStash' and sometimes their prices are a little cheaper than other places, like the various 'tapes' I decided to try around Christmas 2019. I have to say for the cost (including shipping to the US - & like Tonic they now have a 'UK' & 'US' site), their double sided tape & foam tape & squares work just fine. I use the tape to seal my envelopes & initially bought three & just used my first roll a few months ago, & the foam squares are available in 3 sizes & in 1, 2, or 3mm thickness depending on the size. I initially purchased 1 'sheet' of each size (amounts very by size) for around 50 cent a sheet & found myself mostly reaching for the 1mm thick squares & found them in packs of 10 sheets for around $5.39. They are very sticky & the tapes are only available in 2 different widths, but are well worth the price (& a sprinkle of powder around the outer edges takes care of that sticky).
I guess I'm behind the 8 ball. I have been making cards for yrs. (and learn something new all the time) and once in a while for someone special a nice mixed media piece. I totally agree about the misti. Although, I am a quilter/bag maker that decided to add paper crafting to my crafting that tool is one of the first I purchased and of course being new to this space I bought the 12x12 misti lol only because I was buying 12x12 paper a lot. It didn’t take me long to realize I didn’t really need such a large one and could have saved a good bit of money on the normal size one. All that being said I still am very glad to have it but as soon as there is what I consider excess funds I do believe I will purchase the middle size one. The only reason is it does take up a lot of space to swing that large door open so I don’t reach for it as often as I believe I would if it was smaller. Sorry this was soooo long. Awesome tips. You can also get non branded magnetic pin holders from a fabric store that will do the same as the Spellbinders diamond for (I'm guessing) cheaper, but the diamond is very cute and a fun colour too.
For Fitch people, a fake Misti is found in the Action. I bought IT for couplet of euro s and IT s a Tiny bit smaller but works the same as the original one!
I remember when I first started card making and die cutting and instructions would talk about using a pokey tool to get those left over pieces out of a cut die. I kept wondering what a pokey tool was. I do Amazon product reviews, and when I was able to get things related to paper-crafting, I would get some tools (with no instructions for their use) in these packs and started noticed that I was getting something that looked like a dentist torture instrument. Ah ha says me as my brain geared up, dental pick = pokey tool. Maybe I am wrong but all you need is something with a sharp point (probably a toothpick would work) and you are in business and generally no need to buy anything special. Perhaps I am using the wrong thing, but it seems to work. Thanks for all your great ideas!
Here's the one thing that's been puzzling me for decades: on that foil, why did you take a chunk out of the middle, instead of lining up the edge of the foil with the edge of the tape?
funny, here in NZ, what you say is pricey, is cheap here(double sided tape - though only in hat you would call 1/4inch), and some things just not gettable here at all..alll those fancy enamel dots, glues, applicators, blenders etc... so it's still the makeup sponges, normal pva,glue sticks(which I really like as long as they are NOT the school version). I did just purchase a glue roller though. I plan on eking that one out! I am workingon using up what I have in embellishments. can you do a vid if you haven't please, on applying metallic flakes and thin metallic sheets? (NOT the thicker foil) thank you, I just bought some
LOVE your videos, Justine!! My most favorite canNOT-craft-without "TOOL" is a doubled piece of plastic-coated FREEZER PAPER; mine is by Reynold's, though I don't know if others wouldn't be about the same. I've just continued to use the same piece, though, for the price, I'd imagine you could dispose of it each time you used it. I use it to lay my card on when I use glue runner; when I over-shoot the edge, I can easily just use my finger to rub away the excess, even on the "permanent" version. Tsukineko inks (Memento Dye & Brilliance Pigment) do stain the thing, but the surface layer easily comes off with a baby wipe or the Frugal Crafter's baby shampoo + h20 stamp cleaner. I DID once try a stronger cleaner -- don't 'member which -- but that DID mar the surface to where that piece wasn't usable for my purposes any more. As I craft at my kitchen counter this has saved them no end of damage. 'Cept the time I spaced off the fact I was using the freezer paper INSTEAD OF MY CUTTING MAT!!! ((Another cheap-y = 4 pk plastic vegetable cutting "sheets" from Target.))

Another great video. Just 1 suggestion on the craft hand cleaner...use gently or else you’ll scrape skin off...first hand experience. 😲 But, it does a great job of cleaning inky fingers.
I just calculated how much value I get from spending my precious time watching YOUR videos vs. some others. You are SUPER cost effective!!! Seriously, you are dealing with card making on MY level. Always a beginner! I’ve watched hundreds of hours of a Super Cardmaker and could NEVER replicate anything she did. It would have cost me thousands to buy all the items does, and I’m not creative in this way that would allow me to pick up on the “principles” she is teaching so that I could use her ideas with different dies or stamps. !!! After a while I stopped watching her cause I found it just made me feel bad about myself.

Mr Clean magic erasers (and generic equivalents) are like using some sort of unbelievably ultra-micro-fine grade of sandpaper. They're absolutely fantastic for cleaning durable surfaces, but I think you'd be taking a huge risk to use it on a acrylic surface such as a MISTI. You might not notice scratching at first, but it wouldn't surprise me if over time you saw some clouding - the effect of a multitude of teeny-tiny scratches. (Note: This is only my opinion. If anyone's used a Mr Clean eraser multiple times on their MISTI or other acrylic items with no problems, please share your experience. Thanks!)
Retractable craft picks are a great idea. Way back when my son was five, he and his friend were “sword fighting” and he got a pencil and she got the pick :/. You know where this is going. He was stabbed in the chest. He was fine and it’s now kinda funny.

Enjoyed your video and found that I also used most of the things you named . the one I don't and still think is not worth the price is the Misti ! there are so many others that are just as good but a much more affordable price. even though Misti company owner tried to get rid of all the competition. the ones still around that they could not make go away are from We R Memory Keepers, and Crafters Companion. I was blessed to be able to also get Tim Holtz before Misti made them go away. Misti for all of it's high price is not any better then any of these I know because I bought one when they first came out. Don't use it let the kids play with it I use the others. Misti (Sweet Petunia) is greedy and they don't play well with others!

I know a good amount of information about the story behind the product. If people only were able to know the real story, I'm pretty sure they would think differently about what happened. You're welcome to play with whatever tool you like. MISTI was the first tool and the last one needed and I love it. I love supporting a woman-led business and someone who really created something innovative.

what if every company said oh we are the first to make glitter so no one else can make and sell glitter, or heaven forbid red rubber stamps how many of us would be crafters? By all means support who you choose and as you say maybe I don't know the whole story but no one is telling the whole story including you. and for my use I get far more bang for my buck choosing a different stamp positioner.
I love the Tim holtz platform too and the precision press. Misti is so over priced and she did not invent the printing press. The other stamp platform that is phenomenal is by stampin up.
My Sweet Petunia innovated stamping with the intention of her MISTI. She made these in her garage until demand for it exceeded her ability to produce them by herself. She took the initiative to start manufacturing them at her own cost. She also got it patented to protect her intellectual product and protect her financial risk associated with inventing something and bringing it to the masses. Imagine after having the initiative to invent something and then big companies copying your idea and selling them cheaper because they have the ability to order crazy numbers of them. My Sweet Petunia is WELL within her RIGHT as a patent owner to insure her patent is not infringed upon. These big companies take a risk, knowing she has a patent, and still producing a very similar product. I’m glad she has the tenacity to stick up for herself. Obviously, people who bash her have never had a valuable idea stolen from them. People have no idea what the particulars are behind the settlement between MSP and Tonic. If they can work together after this case, it’s obvious that Tonic knew the proper thing to do was settle. They are now partners and have a great working relationship. The MISTI changed the stamping world. I’m proud of her.
Hi. Another plus for getting rid of inky fingers is that hand gel we use for sanatiser!! It's alcohol based as we know and we can use for cleaning stamps etc.

I love love my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. We are fortunate in Australia that we can still purchase it as the patent issues that led to it being withdrawn for sale in 2018 are only for the US and Canada. And it is more economical than the way overpriced Misti

Megan Harrington - yes we can. It is still able to be sold in the U.K., Europe and Australia. I just found it on a Tasmanian website called Bevs Cross Crafts for $53 Plus $12 postage. On Craft Online it is $75.
I managed to find a used STAMPARATUS on eBay (can position F-O-U-R layered stamps for multi cards; NOW I just have to be able to afford the Alte's stamps to use it that way)!!! I DO like it very much, but, while on a trip, and needing a diversion (!), I made "a stamping aid" with a relatively cheap "Document Frame", some heavy-duty tape, and craft foam for padding. Light weight, and works great!!
I agree....the MISTI is 100% worth the money. If your stamping is off, nothing else matters. I use it almost every time I make a card.
I have the Bira Stamp Platform. Bought it (last year) on Amazon for $25. Well made and it works. I didn't want to pay $60 for the Misty.

Have you ever tried the Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect? It goes a very, very long ways and very versatile in other uses.
About Adhesive, these are some of the things that I do to keep the costs down. For liquid glue, I use mod podge, I bought a 32oz tub over two years ago and a precision tip bottle and I just keep refilling the small bottle using a needleless syringe. I think I bought the tub for less than $12 and it's still 4/5 of the way full after several bottle refills.
For tape runner, if that's your fav/go-to, check out the Elmers one that Michaels sells. The replacement cartridges come two to a pack and they're only a few dollars; Michaels also has sales and coupons all the time so you can easily stock up for cheap.
For double-sided tape or foam tape, I tend to buy mine on Amazon or eBay because you can find it several roles for less than $5 and it comes in a variety of sizes. Additionally, and I haven't tried it but it comes recommended, if you're in the states check out the dollar store for foam tape. I've seen many crafters use the dollar store stuff with great success. I've also heard of people using Uline for double-sided tape, as it's also supposed to be relatively inexpensive.

The blending make up brushes that dollar tree sells are comparable to the ones that the craft companies sell. I have tried both. The only difference is the handle. I use baby shampoo to clean n them.
WHAT?!? Dollar Tree now carries the "handled" BLENDING BRUSHES?!?!? Some time back I bought their STUBBY ones to try. Even fitted them with PVC tubing "collars" so they'd be less "smooshable", but have YET to give them the test. Have you Y.T'd a demo of them for us as yet?? ((I don't ask m-u-c-h, do I?? Yes, I do...accept my apologies, please))
They are in the makeup section. They are makeup brushes. There are multiple sizes. I 1st saw them last September. Some of my stores still carries them. I got one to test before I invested in some more. Someone gave me a set from a craft company. I like the dollar tree ones as well as the expensive ones.
@@amkarei yup! Dollar Tree actually has a TON of items that are either craft supplies or that can double as craft supplies but they’re located in the non-craft areas of the store.

My Misti is probably my most useful stamping tool. I lucked out and got it on sale at Amazon about a year ago. I had just taken up card making again after almost 30 years.
Misti.you are so right. I held off for a while, I didn’t get good results with a stamping block. I’d drop the stamp on a good result. I didn’t like the blocks I had, didn’t feel “right” in my fingers. I’d loose the silly clear blocks, especially the small ones. I’d buy bore blocks hoping to find one that was comfortable in my hands ( or because I didn’t find that silly lost block). I wasn’t really enjoying card making like I’d hoped. I finally bit the bullet and bought one. OMG. Why did I wait? I was getting good results. I was ENJOYING crafting. I use it all the time. Christmas cards, little matchbook looking sleeves a special candy that we hand out as thank you s along with tips (when we went out to dinner in a different world) just because cards all so much easier, and FUN!
Great video! I calculate my supply worth the same way! The more I can use it the more valuable to me. I too think adhesive is an unsexy purchase....lol. Speaking of...need some more craft glue....lol. 😆😆🎨

I made a stamp platform for under $20.00. No hinges to keep the Misti folks quiet. I generally do not support companies that litigate potential competitive innovators out of the marketplace.
The we r memory Keepers precision press is what I use and works best. Beats misti in price and performance same.

A couple of years ago I somehow stumbled across a site from the UK called 'CraftStash' and sometimes their prices are a little cheaper than other places, like the various 'tapes' I decided to try around Christmas 2019. I have to say for the cost (including shipping to the US - & like Tonic they now have a 'UK' & 'US' site), their double sided tape & foam tape & squares work just fine. I use the tape to seal my envelopes & initially bought three & just used my first roll a few months ago, & the foam squares are available in 3 sizes & in 1, 2, or 3mm thickness depending on the size. I initially purchased 1 'sheet' of each size (amounts very by size) for around 50 cent a sheet & found myself mostly reaching for the 1mm thick squares & found them in packs of 10 sheets for around $5.39. They are very sticky & the tapes are only available in 2 different widths, but are well worth the price (& a sprinkle of powder around the outer edges takes care of that sticky).

Tractor supply also has magnetic bowls. I have one 5X7-8 inches from tractor and one small square one from harbor.
A tape runner is convenient if you are crafting on the go or in a hurry I use one that you can get refills for -less wastage
I guess I'm behind the 8 ball. I have been making cards for yrs. (and learn something new all the time) and once in a while for someone special a nice mixed media piece. I totally agree about the misti. Although, I am a quilter/bag maker that decided to add paper crafting to my crafting that tool is one of the first I purchased and of course being new to this space I bought the 12x12 misti lol only because I was buying 12x12 paper a lot. It didn’t take me long to realize I didn’t really need such a large one and could have saved a good bit of money on the normal size one. All that being said I still am very glad to have it but as soon as there is what I consider excess funds I do believe I will purchase the middle size one. The only reason is it does take up a lot of space to swing that large door open so I don’t reach for it as often as I believe I would if it was smaller. Sorry this was soooo long. I use Washi tape to hold my Thinlits in place over a stamped image. Keeps the Thinlits from moving.
Awesome tips. You can also get non branded magnetic pin holders from a fabric store that will do the same as the Spellbinders diamond for (I'm guessing) cheaper, but the diamond is very cute and a fun colour too.

For Fitch people, a fake Misti is found in the Action. I bought IT for couplet of euro s and IT s a Tiny bit smaller but works the same as the original one!

I prefere the Dutch Nellie Snellen stamping tool. It's a fourth of the Price and just as good.
I remember when I first started card making and die cutting and instructions would talk about using a pokey tool to get those left over pieces out of a cut die. I kept wondering what a pokey tool was. I do Amazon product reviews, and when I was able to get things related to paper-crafting, I would get some tools (with no instructions for their use) in these packs and started noticed that I was getting something that looked like a dentist torture instrument. Ah ha says me as my brain geared up, dental pick = pokey tool. Maybe I am wrong but all you need is something with a sharp point (probably a toothpick would work) and you are in business and generally no need to buy anything special. Perhaps I am using the wrong thing, but it seems to work. Thanks for all your great ideas!

Here's the one thing that's been puzzling me for decades: on that foil, why did you take a chunk out of the middle, instead of lining up the edge of the foil with the edge of the tape?
funny, here in NZ, what you say is pricey, is cheap here(double sided tape - though only in hat you would call 1/4inch), and some things just not gettable here at all..alll those fancy enamel dots, glues, applicators, blenders etc... so it's still the makeup sponges, normal pva,glue sticks(which I really like as long as they are NOT the school version). I did just purchase a glue roller though. I plan on eking that one out! I am workingon using up what I have in embellishments. can you do a vid if you haven't please, on applying metallic flakes and thin metallic sheets? (NOT the thicker foil) thank you, I just bought some

My most favorite canNOT-craft-without "TOOL" is a doubled piece of plastic-coated FREEZER PAPER; mine is by Reynold's, though I don't know if others wouldn't be about the same. I've just continued to use the same piece, though, for the price, I'd imagine you could dispose of it each time you used it. I use it to lay my card on when I use glue runner; when I over-shoot the edge, I can easily just use my finger to rub away the excess, even on the "permanent" version. Tsukineko inks (Memento Dye & Brilliance Pigment) do stain the thing, but the surface layer easily comes off with a baby wipe or the Frugal Crafter's baby shampoo + h20 stamp cleaner. I DID once try a stronger cleaner -- don't 'member which -- but that DID mar the surface to where that piece wasn't usable for my purposes any more. As I craft at my kitchen counter this has saved them no end of damage. 'Cept the time I spaced off the fact I was using the freezer paper INSTEAD OF MY CUTTING MAT!!! ((Another cheap-y = 4 pk plastic vegetable cutting "sheets" from Target.))

Also keeps me from too much impulse buying.🙄 In another of your videos, after your Nuvo Drops arm pit tip, you said, 'oh the glamour of cardmaking...'😂 I go for my bra, since the bottle will most likely fall out of my arm pit. I had a friend that kept her paper money in her bra, because she could not keep up with a purse or wallet. Since she was the mother of 8 children (all girls), she called that money stash her "milk money"😂

A Misti is a die cutting plate on a frame with hinges. Don't want to buy it? Make it.
Another great video. Just 1 suggestion on the craft hand cleaner...use gently or else you’ll scrape skin off...first hand experience. 😲 But, it does a great job of cleaning inky fingers.
I always wet my hands first and haven't had that issue but that's definitely a good tip!

I just calculated how much value I get from spending my precious time watching YOUR videos vs. some others. You are SUPER cost effective!!! Seriously, you are dealing with card making on MY level. Always a beginner! I’ve watched hundreds of hours of a Super Cardmaker and could NEVER replicate anything she did. It would have cost me thousands to buy all the items does, and I’m not creative in this way that would allow me to pick up on the “principles” she is teaching so that I could use her ideas with different dies or stamps. !!! After a while I stopped watching her cause I found it just made me feel bad about myself.

On someone's video a while ago, they suggested cleaning the misting with a Mr clean sponges I works great . Thanks for the video
Susan, be careful what you use to clean Misti. There are some cleaners that if unused will void your warranty. See mysweetpetunia.com “The warranty is void if solvent, oil based products, Staz-On cleaner, Ultra clean, solvent cleaners, Windex, Goo Gone, alcohol, or harsh chemicals solvents are used. The warranty period begins at date of purchase. Use an acrylic cleaner such as Novus 1 or Novus 2.”
Mr Clean magic erasers (and generic equivalents) are like using some sort of unbelievably ultra-micro-fine grade of sandpaper. They're absolutely fantastic for cleaning durable surfaces, but I think you'd be taking a huge risk to use it on a acrylic surface such as a MISTI. You might not notice scratching at first, but it wouldn't surprise me if over time you saw some clouding - the effect of a multitude of teeny-tiny scratches. (Note: This is only my opinion. If anyone's used a Mr Clean eraser multiple times on their MISTI or other acrylic items with no problems, please share your experience. Thanks!)
Retractable craft picks are a great idea. Way back when my son was five, he and his friend were “sword fighting” and he got a pencil and she got the pick :/. You know where this is going. He was stabbed in the chest. He was fine and it’s now kinda funny.
