  • Another place to visit in the Oaxaca coasts is the Sanctuary for several turtle species, but their mainly visitor is the Golfina turtle“ also known as Olive Ridle Turtle, this Ecoturistic center is located in La Escobilla” a place where you rent a little rustic cabin with the basic necessities and spend the night there or simply visit for the day to experience turtle release. This is the most important beach for marine turtle nesting in the world, it's above Costa Rica and India.
There is absolutely no swimming on this part of the ocean as it is reserved as a certified sanctuary for the Turtles and the lagoon… well …remember the crocodiles from my last post? Crocodiles do habit this lagoon waters!
Baby turtles hatched and released, of which approximately the 1% will survive the first year due to ocean pollution, natural predators and more. From this precious little jewels released in our visit the ones that survived to the age of 8 years of age will return to this specific beach as this memory is now embedded into their own memory cell despite many research studies to explain this concept is beyond our own understanding… A miracle in its own.
This place captured my soul, I am planning to visit often once my time raising my teenager is done; this will be some of my spiritual sabbatical places to visit.
    Dare to live the experience!
