Literally just had the problem over the course of 4 days, and I was desperate for a cure, but did not want to go to the doctor. So after googling. I chose to swish very warm salt water right around the area of the stone. Also massaged the area. Drink straight lemon juice, I did press on the stone with my tongue, you may not have to do this part, but that's what I did. Drank as much water as I could. I had spaghetti for dinner, and couldn't eat it all bc the pain was so horrible, but I think it also helped to induce saliva...and I woke up in the middle of the night and the stone was out! I felt so relieved. Hope this helps someone. Because I understand the pain.

I've had 10 over the years all in the left duct. I've now learnt how to get them to pop out. After having so many I had an ultrasound and if seems the duct on the left has a much smaller opening than the right one. I actually knew when one had come out because I got a huge spray of saliva all of a sudden and I could see the hole where it had come out inside my cheek. Suck a piece of lemon whilst you have one and you go through the roof with the pain and throbbing. If you don't want serious pain avoid all sour and sharp foods. The mouth will produce even more saliva backed up in the duct where the stone has blocked the salivas exit.

I have had it many times and I know how to get rid of it fast.
1- The harder you squeeze it and play with, the worse it becomes TRUST ME
2- LEave it alone dont even play with it with your tongue
3- you will notice after few mintues, the pressure goes away a bit thats a good sign, Leave it
4- Now with your tounge gently push slowly (massage a bit) the middle of the vain or whatever that thing and push it toward the tip to let the stones out.
5- Once the first white part goes out a bit, keep doing it until all of a sudden they all flush out.
Done I should make a video better. Ill wait for when it happens and ill do it for you guys haha

I got them operated out and after 3 years they started accumulating again... giving unbearable pain along with swelling.
One trait of these stones that I've observed so far is that we shouldn't touch them with so much pressure again and again.
All you have to do is to eat some saliva inducing food and after the gland got filled with saliva it will build pressure then just leave it alone and after some time when the pressure reduces slightly massage the area and they will flush out by themselves.

Had this happen to me for the first time like 5 years ago and it was really bad. The gland itself was super swollen and the end of the duct kept getting blocked and the duct tube would fill up and push out so far from under my tongue that it would touch my teeth! Eventually I used my tongue to crimp at the base and push towards the end and eventually it popped out, but I have had stones ever since and my gland is always larger than it was and is always a little sore to the touch even at the best of times (I feel the gland itself must have blockages and the ones that get to my duct are pieces that break out of the gland).
