Beautiful melodic touching not only your heart but your soul, I have been truly blessed to see the band live a few times now absolute genius is Mike Scott and the fiddle is out of this world 🏴
I heard it for the first time on July 9th, 2001, 2 days after our wedding, on the plane on the way to the Dominican Republic. 20 years later I feel this song as it was then, intense, sad, thoughtful, hopeful, stylish. Many thanks to the band Waterboys, this song is simply unique

Written in 1986. More than 30 years ago. The Waterboys is one of the best music bands that exits. Thanks Regina for sharing this. It is really one of best songs that they have created. It sounds so pure this masterpiece of mike scott.

its wonderful. Def worth checking out a clip of the way they play it on the most recent tour, they change the instrumentation completely, not better or worse, but different and also beautiful. Not as well recorded as this live version regina has uploaded tho which is spectacular. I saw them in derry a few nights ago and they caught me off guard with how they do this one now.
