P.S : I love Sriti so much! When I was in class 2 she was in a show called Dhoom Machao Dhoom about students and we classmates used to recreate that show in class as game and I used to be Sriti's role 'Malu'. It's so great to know she loves books too!!!

I watched this 56 minute video in 86 mins. I had to pause and laugh and smile and cry and talk to myself excitedly, get all nostalgic. It was amazing! I have not been around too many Potterheads for the past 6 years and this just felt like I was there with you all. I felt like you were my friends, especially Sriti you were so sweet! I heard your poetry and now this! I totally love you!!! Thank you for doing this!
Wow! I read the first book at age 10 and the series is a big part of who I am today. I am 24 and sometimes feel like I have outgrown it. That leads to doubt and guilt and to get some clarity I pick up the first one again-the cutest sweetest one. And immediately I am like "There is nothing better than this in the whole world. It is not a children's book. It is THE BEST BOOK! Every one of the seven books is a masterpiece! How could I ever have doubted them?" I then apologise profusely to Rowling, all the characters and all the fans and vow to never let trust issues between me and the books again. Reading the Harry Potter series growing up was a special kind of education- a type every child should have.
Pogo used to have hindi harry potter movie marathons in summer. It was called may movie magic or something !

Thank god there's someone else who started off the series with Prisoner of Azkaban! Because, let's face it - if that book can't make you fall in love with the series, then probably nothing else can. Also, I think PoA was the last book which you could read without having to know what happened before.

I believe the book/script Sriti is talking about is the one in the Universe- Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It has been out for a long time(2001). It is not the script as far as I know. It is written by Rowling herself and it is one of the three from the Universe Rowling wrote and published. The other two are Quidditch Through The Ages and Tales of Beedle the Bard.
The biggest thing Harry Potter taught me was media can be really powerful in both good and bad ways

I started reading Harry Potter at 5. My sister was reading the first book to me (she is 7 years older and she discovered the series in 99) and she stopped in between so I got irritated and sat down with the book and a dictionary 🙈. It is safe to say, I spent more time with the dictionary. But yeah, I didn't read in order too. We didn't have the second book...so I read that after reading Prisoner of Azkaban.

You guys should check out Harry Potter and the Scared Text podcast...I've been following them for a couple years now. Its such a good podcast in which they discuss a chapter each week through a predetermined theme, and through the fun discussions you relate it to real life. They just finished Book 4 and soon to start on Book 5.
The topic Anuya tried to start about anyone having issues with the books.. I have one that no one has been able to clarify satisfyingly yet.. Its about Snape's worst memory.. I just cannot understand how it was possible for Harry to listen to the marauders conversations so well.. Wouldn't Snape have to be near enough and paying attention to register everything these guys spoke so clearly in his memory?!

That's a problem with all memories in the series. What's more bizarre is how the pensieve viewer can also see the person whose memory they are watching. I guess JKR thought more along the lines of secret video recordings.

I had one problem with the book and this might be realllllly stupid but...
Jo went into such detail about where everyone slept in Hogwarts, what they ate, how they studied, their homework etc etc. But she never wrote about any of them having showers! Apart from the prefects bathroom where Harry takes that extremely uncomfortable bath with Moaning Myrtle talking to him, there is no mention of baths in Harry Potter...I know this is silly, but it’s one of my HP pet peeves 😂😂

Here's my story - After my college, i didn't get through anywhere in PG so i dropped an year. For 1 year Harry potter first 5 books were on an infinite loop along with preparing for entrance , and it worked got through one of the top MCA colleges in India

i read Half Blood Prince first since i thought i have seen all other movies, then found out i haven't seen Order of the Phoenix. then i completed the book and realised excerpt for the trio i dont know anyone else much. then a friend of mine told that the books and movies have difference and then last year at the age of 19 started reading the series and now finished the fifth book.
