*_EVERCADE VS TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE:_* If you are having issues with your console, here is how to fix all the regular problems I am seeing people complain about on the forums. The large majority of the people complaining are causing these issues themselves, and could solve them without replacing the console by reading the guides on the official website. The information I supply here is from that guide, just written in bullet points for easier reading. *[CONSOLE HANGS ON "BLAIZE" SPLASH SCREEN AFTER UPDATE]* - Use official power supply and cable (lower ampage will not pass system check). - Unplug capture card, run HDMI cable directly to monitor/tv (console is looking for HDMI connect signal from tv). *[CONSOLE LIGHT BAR SHOWS CONSTANT WHITE COLOURING]* - Use official power supply and cable (lower ampage will not pass system check). - Hard reset console, reinstall latest software update (white bar means you are not reaching "OK" state). *[CONSOLE SCREEN REMAINS BLANK / DOES NOT CONNECT TO HDMI]* - Replace HDMI cable (console is looking for HDMI connect signal from tv). *[GAME CARTS NOT SHOWING IN MENU AFTER INSERTION]* - Use updater to install latest system software, many games require the newer loader software. - Clean the cartridge port and the edge of the game wafer using an air-spray. Finally, one of the commenters below has experienced an issue with his OG handheld in which the console refuses to work with his TV during HDMI link and he speculates that this is prevented in the firmware. I can confirm with testing my own OG handheld console that this is not the case. My own OG handheld was running the older software (November 2023 update) and works fine. I updated the software after testing to the newest firmware (April 2024) and can confirm that the HDMI link was still working fine. I would suggest perhaps using a different cable, and if that's not working it might just be that your monitor is not fully HDMI compliant and is not sending the "HDMI OK" signal to tell the console to start sending the signal. Aside from those things it could actually be a damaged HDMI port on the console, if it's loose I suppose that might cause a "No-Signal" screen. I would advise if you have issues surrounding the HDMI link to get in touch with Blaize support, as I have found them useful in the past and they will be happy to assist you. - DC
It's nice to see people producing game consoles that don't require constant internet connection or license agreement for every game. I am planning on getting the console when the Tomb raider collection comes out
@@georgesobczyk1494 I don't know if Sony will release any of their own IP's like Crash Bandicoot... Though at this point nothing would surprise me. I never thought we would see Duke Nukem 3D or Lara Croft on here.
I think you'll be disappointed to find that The Evercade ecosystem is becoming more update dependent so is reliant on an internet connection via wi fi, so much that some updates have ruined some people's systems in the past. Proceed with caution.
That would be a huge downgrade if it was rolled out system wide, though with any luck that's only specific games who choose to do that. Which games are the ones which required these updates? I will have to test them out, and make a video about that. Blaize Electronics have been easy to deal with so far, I am sure they'd not have made that decision themselves, so it would just be the odd developer.

I wonder if they will bring 2002's Fade To Black, the third game in the series. It did well on Playstation I remember playing it.
