We are going to paint a watercolour painting of Rhinoceros beetle. You can download my line drawing, which will help you to concentrate on learning watercolour skills, but you can totally have a go at drawing it yourself.

The size of the image is A5, but the line drawing is printed on A4.
Materials you will need:
1) Water jar
2) Tissue paper
3) Watercolour paints
4) Brushes size: 2 or 4, 6 or 8, 2/0 for fine details
5) Pallete (or just a white ceramic plate)
6) A device to look at the reference picture is preferable. It could be your iPad, lap top etc.
7) Watercolour paper. I will use Arches 300gsm Cold pressed. Try to find Cold pressed, please.
8) A drink
Pigments we will need: Prussian Blue, Emerald Green, Lamp Black, Sienna, Payne's grey, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine, Burnt Umber, Permannet Rose, Raw Umber
