Command & Conquer - Act on Instinct Remix [SIDNIFY]

- Ever since the mysterious Tiberium landed on Earth and spread across the world, an endless global battle has been going on between the two militant organizations: the Brotherhood of Nod led by Kane, aiming to seize this powerful yet dangerous resource and achieve world domination by it and the Global Defense Initiative (GDI), a multinational military task force doing everything possible to counter this threat and keep the world order in balance. It is not only power at stake but the future of all mankind and Earth, as we know it. There is no telling which faction will triumph or fail in this desperate warfare. Only one thing is imperative: it is time to act on instinct!
This is our remix of the battle song 'Act on Instinct' from the great real-time strategy video game Command & Conquer, which has celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2020. By this remix, we would also like to contribute to this special event. Unit ready!

DID THIS REALLY JUST HAPPEN!?
Yes, it sure did. :D
I feel 1995-2000 were the magic 5 years in gaming. Nothing since comes close to these years of unrestricted creativity and legendary game releases.
I agree. At that time, games where still "niche" enough to be able to be edgy and to take risks to find innovation. It was a time of a LOT less greed ( publisher/CEO intervention and censorship) and a LOT more (almost freeflowing) creativity.
I'm really glad the indy scene and many smaller studios, led to a revival of this awesome spirit tho!
2001 - GTA 3 and GTA:VC, new milestones in gaming.
I think it's mostly because the studios behind the games you love were small, like indie levels of small. Sure, they had publishers, but the publishers took a hands-off approach. FFW to now, and you've got EA, Activision, Ubisoft and Epic just buying up smaller studios.
@@sergiogonzalesYT not even GTA comes close to the classics of 95'-'00
yes GTA has reached milestones but it does not enjoy the same level of status and incredibly passionate loyal fanbase that the old classics do
the loyalty and passion of the Command & Conquer fanbase, among others, is impossible to describe with words
@@xGoodOldSmurfehx GTA 1 IS a 95-00 game. 1997 to be precise. You don't need to dismiss it, the game itself is further proving your point.

I just realized just at the moment that the soldier is dressed with the 2 factions on his uniform.
it's been two months anyway eh.
ha la la.
It took me two or three rewatches to notice, yeah. Aside from a few details here and there (the collar is the most visible example), the image blends together fairly well. Enough that I mistook the BoN half for the rest of a GDI uniform in shadow.
@@chaosvolt Most people didn't look at the arms, so they miss the guy being in GDI/Nod fatigues. But the emblems are clearly visible on both arms. Though I wish people would use the Tiberian Sun era GDI emblem, it stands out much better than the Dawn/Wars one.
@@Medinaxz Yep. Guess that's from the patches being near the bottom edge.

It's because he is Commander. He's just downloaded EVA and hasn't chosen a side yet
Every time I hear music from Red Alert, C&C or Generals, I remember my childhood, when these soldiers and tanks ran around the map, blowing up everything in their path. Damn, I'm crying.
I love how you can hear when it transitions into the Kane's Wrath version yet it's so masterfully done.
Dude, what you did between 2:00 and 2:15 is absolutely astonishing. Those very subtle notes are impecable.
Agreed, that's a stand-out section and possibly my favourite part. 👍🏻
Okay. This is amazing. ALL of this is amazing. The song and its composition/arrangement, the added sound effects and the voice lines, the art, the animations.... just freaking great, accenting everything that's so good with the legendary Command & Conquer games. Kudos, this is an amazing piece of art work.
Can I ask what, how, where did you made art like this... It's outstanding and I wanna learn it.

This is by far my favorite remix of 'Act on Instinct'. And yes, I know the Kane's Wrath one exists, thats great an all, but this is the classic with just the right amount of nostalgia and spice to revitalize a fantastic classic. Well done, you mad lad legend.
This is so classic and new at the same time, a true remix.

One of the best remixes of one of the greatest songs of a video game soundtrack in history. I also love that the sound from the C&C3 Kane's Wrath remix is also incorporated in this one.
I also dig the animation in the video.
I had to reinstall the remaster and play again after hearing this.
Happy New Year Commanders. The Tutorial is over.
Are you ready for the real thing?
Best thing to happen in 2020 is the return of SIDNIFY! Love it!

That first beach landing GDI, I can feel it still all these years later.
I would enjoy hearing what Frank Klepacki thinks of this.
At age 4 I fell in love with Act on Instinct. Twenty years later I have heard many versions, remixes, so many ways artists and fans have Acted on Instinct. Thanks for being another one of them! The animation had me wanna play Renegade haha
"Reinforcements have arrived." - OMG! I almost died when I heard it.
This is on the level of Timothy Seals' Mechwarrior 2 remix. Truly amazing, and as someone who grew up with the series, I can safely say this is THE remix of Act on Instinct.
I actually found the Seals MW2 remixes to be kinda stale. This IS the game.
I swear my heart rate spiked at the "one vision one purpose" part, I did NOT see that coming. that part goes hard as fuck.
Must have taken a lot of effort to create this, the video and the remixed music. Congrats, it's awesome!
Holy crap! This is just a awesome coincidence. I'm a huge fan of your work and a fan of the CnC series. Just now I was listening to Act on Instinct and... Bam! I get alerted to this! Sidnify you are a legend! Keep up the awesome work!

This is beyond amazing. I'm sad I didn't find this until now! Such an epic rendition of one of my all time favorites from 90s PC gaming. Coupled with the terrific animation this is something special. Welcome back Commander indeed!
This is a very nice Act on Instinct remix, absolutely one of the best I've ever heard, if not the best.
I especially like the C&C3-style second refrain... And, every time I listen to this, I get the chills for "Welcome Back, Commander." Very well arranged.
Incredible work overall, especially like subtle bell sounds in the backround at 3:09, the guitar harmony, and the effect at 2:00.
Fantastic! This sounds as good to me now, as the original midi sounded to my young ears, back in 1995.
I'll be back here, regularly.
Would you know it? I'm back!
Jesus this cover hits the spot. Really would wish they officially add it to Remastered with an update!
I could imagine this being an end of credits tune for an official C&C movie.
SIDNIFY, please God do more C&C, there are so many tracks I'd like to see you do a cover of but I'd be very curious what you'd do with Just Do It Up!
Just to add, I've lost track how many times I've listened to this, definitely double digits
There's a program you can download to unpack, add / rename tracks, and repack into the jukebox (as well as other jukebox mods).
Bet we could mod it in.
It's easy to mod it in. :)
One of the best mixes I've heard. Flawless guitar work.
This is fantastic, the art elevates it so much. Well done!
Awesome cover.
Only just noticed the animations of the soldier and TWI units and structures (including unplayable NOD fighter jets) and found them awesome to watch too.
Come to think about it, my favourite Genre predates me. It was my father that saw all of this firsthand. He was spoiled, now I see why.
This is amazing. The bit in the middle is amazing too. Great composition, great video, great everything.
That but at the end with Kane and the crowds cheering Peace Through Power ... God that's great
"Power shifts quickly in the Brotherhood" - some dead guy
Would love to hear more Command and Conquer from you guys. Amazing work here today.

You sir would make Frank proud with this absolutely excellent reimagining, hats of to you good sir.
One of the best remix from Act of Instinct. Vibrant and energetically happy. Keep the good work. 😎🤩
...oh... and the animation it's brutal. 👹🤘
I first heard the original song 25 years ago and my love for it (and all the amazing remixes created from it over the years) has never left my heart.
Wow takes me back.
Frank Klepacki needs to hear this. This is even better than his own recent remake of the song.
Pay homage to the original creator, noob! There is a big difference between creating music 25 years ago and nowadays!
@@melorate i think he meant the remake for the remaster of tib dawn and RA1 which was made well... 25 years later after the original
I agree, I appreciate the music that Frank made but his remakes are actually worse than even the originals. It seems like they are some wank off fantasy where he can pretend to be in Metallica or something, sounds harsh but it looks like that to me lol. For the short time I played of the remaster, (it kept crashing) I kept the classic soundtrack on because the remastered stuff just doesn't suit the game at all anymore. They did the same thing with Halo 2 over metalised everything. Maybe other people really like it but I prefer the sort of 90s/rock/techno mixture like the original. Have no idea what you would call that type of music xD
@@reddragon4482 Yeah it's all 100% metal these days, Klepaki used to be able to do other styles
Just Do It Up was R&B, C&C Thang was Hip-hop, Mechanical Man was Techno, Reaching Out was World Music... I'm sure there's more examples too.
These days it's all metal and... Kinda over-produced
@@jamesperkins191 I think it's cause he wants his band to be the next metallica or something lol. It's poisoned the vast majority of his creations now, it's sad lol. He's done a few good songs the past few years, i'm not saying he's lost his spark. I'd just like to see him go back to his roots like you said.
