Agate Paradise - Lake Superior Rock Hunt

- A cool summer day on the shores of Lake Superior in Northern Minnesota. Today we got to visit a beach that has been mostly untouched after some rainfall and stormy weather. Being that Lake Superior is very high this year, these wavy days make a much larger impact on the erosion of clay cliffs, as well as pushing new rocks up from the bottom!

If you would tumble, instead of cut that colorful rock you couldn't identify, I'd take that one! It's really beautiful - and I have a granddaughter who would love that! It was fun to witness your appreciation and joy. Thank you for sharing.

Dude, THAT WAS A LAAAAHT OF LSA'S FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR!!! VERY NICE FINDS. I really appreciate that bright green agate, and the wife said that one odd find looks like the earth,lol. I agreed. Good for you friend.

Not sure most people are going to understand how great of a haul this is for late summer on Lake Superior. We struggle to do this well in March before everyone picks it over. Nice work.
I agree. Most of the time this year it is so picked over, but I must be looking in the right spots!

I've been watching your channel and also Agate Dad and learning what to look for. I feel like a little kid instead of an old lady but I found an actual real agate with bands in it in landscape rocks at a rest stop! Thanks for showing what the outsides look like. I'm so excited about the agate I found.
