This is my first time playing this game and I had an absolute blast! Being able to go back in time and play these famous Civil War battles is pretty awesome. I felt a little lost but I'll eventually get the hang of it!
This battle was a Grand Campaign event. I'm part of the 15th Wisconsin and we participate in weekly Campaign events. If interested in joining, feel free to hop in the Discord and coordinate with Lucian. / discord

Take a shot everytime he says "buck & balls"
@Senior Shakingmyhead. Bottoms up boy!
Entire army passes out.
@Senior Shakingmyhead. 😀
How to die in 5.2 mins
Is that what he was saying? I thought he was saying "bucket bowl" lmao.
This belongs to a new genre of gaming: First-Person-Reloader
Lol! Very clever.
It's slow but historically accurate.
Think about three shots a minute, while being shot at.
@@medievalman71 reload time should increase significantly when in panic.
That's my point
Who could forget John Brown’s famous rallying cries of “Pikachu” and “Buck and Bowl”. John Brown you were the realest. RIP
Well said lol.
Rest in Peace John Brown, thank you for your service.
lol he’s saying to load buck and ball, a kind of ammunition. there’s round ball (for longer range shots) and buck and ball (for short range shots). he’s saying to load buck and ball because this map is relatively small and it involves a lot of close quarters urban warfare.
@@thecommunard4539 thanks for the explanation. Genuinely. It’s a very good one
And he's saying "peek and shoot" not Pikachu. As in , to take a quick look and then fire. Not to dwell.
this game is chaos but it's so fun. and the community is hilarious
It honestly is; especially on small maps.
The community is the worst part.
The game is alright at best.
@@JuicyJam what servers have you played on? ive had nothing but good experiences. a very welcoming and funny community. nobody takes themselves too seriously.
@@ryanf7596 I don't recall what I ate for lunch 2 Thursdays ago, let alone remember the name of video game servers that I played on 3 years ago lol
I wholeheartedly disagree with people not taking themselves too seriously on this game.
I've been kicked because I wasn't speaking like I'm from the 1800's.
Then kicked because I was using racist remarks (so much for talking like I'm from the 1800's 🤷♀️)
I've been kicked because I went 'over there' instead of 'over there'. Then, some mellowdramatic boob who kicked me, called it insubordination.... Talk about a fuckin psychopath.
I've been kicked because I wasn't addressing the ranks appropriately.
I've been kicked because my whole team was just standing around doing nothing. So I said fuck it and went to go fight the other team.
I'm always spouting stupid shit, cracking jokes, and making dumb conversations when I play with voice chat. Hardly anyone played along with the outlandish banter for this game.
@@JuicyJambro said 3 years ago as if that’s still relevant now
My favorite part was when he said "buck and ball"
Nothing will ever be more synonymous with War of Rights than buck and ball.
I used to live in Harpers Ferry and this is REALLY cool to see!
Right?! I visited Harpers Ferry a few years ago and loved it. I was very surprised how similar the game made the location look!
I think this game needs more support I was an original donator for this game before it was even a real game paid 300 bucks
@@neighborhoodturnt no kidding… this game is awesome and doesn’t have the audience it deserves.
I live nearby and visit every other month. I always struggled to visualize what the town really looked like before the Civil War ravaged it, and this game really helped. Crazy how so much has changed yet so much hasn't.
As someone who visited and stayed in Harpers Ferry for a weekend to attend a wedding nearby in Virginia, it is so cool seeing the town re-created in the game. They did a good job with historical preservation irl, and the village really is in a beautiful spot. Definitely recommend stopping by for a few hours or a day or two if you’re nearby, and there’s great hiking and plenty of outdoors activities in the area.
That's awesome! I visited here about 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. The game does a very nice job in re-creating it!
its incredible to see that many historical locations like that had death everywhere, but so many years later, the same spot where someone died, a little kid drops his ice cream, or a man stops to text someone. when i think about how time moves on, it makes me appreciate history like this on a macro and a micro level.
@@caseymanbrodude7846 That's a very good point. That's how I felt visiting Omaha Beach. Little kids now play on the beach and have no idea what happened there.
I live here and this is crazy. Looks just like it
Ice cream and Maryland heights
A follow-up game set in the Franco-Prussian war would be pretty cool (Breechloaders speeding up gameplay)
Completely agree. I'm sure we'll see that game in the future.
Or Indians/Zulu versus USA or British Empire in the 1870s
If they do a second game they need to do a ground up new engine because this engine is extremely outdated, complex, and unmoddable for crowdsourced developing
Cavalry units in the game already use Sharps breechloaders
@@intriguingfacts5434 never seen gameplay of cavalry?
If I ever joined one of these games I'd be as sociable as that union soldier in the background at 0:07
Yea that was our Regimental leader. Passionate guy and motivated.

If it's this bloody in the game with 300 players, imagine the real thing. War is hell
Absolutely. And to throw in the smell...
@@ont1c Agreed, all up until the final bell...
Watch Gettysburg 1993 movie and glory 1989 you ll get a picture. The funny thing is everybody is reloading behind cover while in the real battles you had to keep ground and reload on the spot
They did a very good job of recreating harpers ferry.
Completely agree!
I love how you tell everyone else what they should be doing and then you run off and do your own thing😅
LOL! I feel like going rambo mode quite often 😂
@@ont1c you let the smallest amount of power go to your head, sad.
@@MilitaryAV how so?
@@MilitaryAV that also isn’t me doing most of the talking fyi.
@@MilitaryAV imagine caring how other people play a game, how sad
We need more civil war Games tbh
Completely agree. I think it's an overlooked era. The only other game I can think of is Darkest of Days.
Y Napoleon War 😊
@@EliteKeyz88 Love the idea!
@@EliteKeyz88play holdfast. It's set in napoleonic wars
It’s be nice, but idt most consumers would have the patience for 19th century warfare. Plus, unlike WWII, the slavers’ rebellion only had two factions, with a small handful of Native American co-belligerents.
its so wierd living in this area and seeing it in a game, its eire how accurate the streets are and how little has changed
I visited Harper's Ferry a couple of years ago and I literally said the same thing you did. Really enjoyed my time there by the way!
I've never laughed so hard at a video game. Seeing all these guys milling around with the cocaphany of commentary, guys picking up and flying through the air, enemy just running through the ranks....etc. I'm in stitches.
Lol it was complete chaos.
"buck and ball boys" 5 seconds later "buck and ball guys remember buck and ball"
Don't forget to press 5 for buck and ball!
3:04 lmmffaaaooo I freakin love it when guys play sound effects in the mic in this game
Always good comms lol!
I can't believe this game has been out for 6 years and I've never heard of it until now? It looks sweet.
It’s a fun game. You won’t be disappointed!

Lol awesome moment! 😂
I could live another 50 years and not hear buck and ball and be just fine….
Lol!
09:48 "buck and ball torture" xDDD
Lol 😂
It is so trippy seeing your childhood park in a game.
Loved visiting here.
The game giving you context for the battle like a documentary is a stroke of genius!
I thought that was clever too.
I think you might already know, but it shows you how the battle went in-game, not how it went in real life.
hey thank you for representing the 15th in game man, and thanks for coming to our event
My pleasure! I’m playing today with you all.
John brown's body lies amouldering in the grave, John Brown's body lies amouldering in the grave, John Brown's body lies amouldering in the grave , but his truth marches onn
Lmao John brown was a cuck
John Brown had a vision. A true meteor.
This game looks awesome. Didn´t even know it existed.
Same; highly recommend it!
fearless gameplay. your command is truly inspiring.
I can't take credit for that. This was our Regiment leader to most of the talking. I think I spoke a few times briefly.
hey if you want to join link is in the description
Thought this was about the raid on Harpers Ferry at first, but then realized it was the battle. Idk if it'd be possible to reenact the raid on Harper's Ferry, but I reckon it'd be a cool idea.
Absolutely agree. I'd love to play through that. Hopefully one day we're able to.
Very nice! Just got into this game as well and I love it.
Same here! Just got done playing 2 hours worth lol.
hey if you want to join link is in the description
I watched a game of this a few days ago; this one was much more organized than that one. The leader kept his unit together, it wasn't an "every man for himself" game the way the last one I watched seemed to be.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I grew up in harpers ferry and I can confirm the map looks exactly like the irl town
Sure does! I visited a few years back.
Pretty amazing graphics! 👍
Thank you! NVIDIA 4090 for the win! 😎
Whoever said there needs to be more civil war games...I second that...and more Revolution style games. One of my favorite games was Assassin's Creed, revolutionary times, and Black flag....pretty much anything historic. This game seems like fun...even with the low reload speeds. Forces you to rely on the tactics.
Thomas, amen to that man. The American Revolution and Civil War are time periods that I would like visited more. Assassin's Creed 3 was one of my favorites. I would love to see Assassin's Creed make a Civil War era game. I really think the developers would be able to pull it off.
Empire: Total war is fantastic if you like strategy, it takes place around the revolutionary war and focuses on colonialism around the world during the 1600s-1700s
@@nickandman1 I love the Total War series. I've played Empire several times. My next one is Atilla. I still need to figure out the best method for that game then I'd like to live stream it.
Maybe a little niche but a full conversion mod for Bannerlord during the late 1700s in North America would be the knees bees.
@@Mutedmouth I never heard of Bannerlord until just now. I looked up the game and it looks awesome.
And I would agree with you on that.
i been there a thousand times this is pretty dam cool and accurate lookin
Completely agree. I went a few yeas ago and was surprised how accurate this game portrayed Harper’s Ferry to be.
Ive been to harper’s ferry in real life and this feels uncanny.
Completely agree. I went some years back and was blown away how this game resembled it.
This dude absolutely loves saying “buck n ball”
i went here a few months ago. such an interesting and beautiful town. i really recommend going there
It really is and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I went several years ago and literally spent all day there.
If I hear him say buck and ball one more time I’ll cut my ears off
Don't forget to press 5 for buck and ball.
Stick a screwdriver through my ear drums
The chaos and confusion of it all is so realistic. A couple of those bayonet kills on you is questionable though since I didnt see u get hit
It’s a fun game. Close quarters is certainly challenging then the open field battles.
Dam I haven't played this in over a year and a half. Love this dam game
Completely agree. I bought this game just to try something different and I absolutely love it.
Very Good Gameplay My Friend ! , Congratulations !
Much apprecaited!
@@ont1c i am Very Happy Now My Angel Friend ! , You Are Welcome ! :)
This map is amazing, haven’t been to Harpers Ferry in real life. It’s very similar.
Highly recommend the visit. There are some awesome restaurants, gift shops, and learning about the history is well done. When you go, it'll be very challenging (depending on time of year) to find a parking space in the historic area. If you park at the "Harper's Ferry National Park Parking" area, there is a shuttle bus that runs to and from the historic district constantly.
Hearing all the memes and garbage from other people nearby is absolutely hilarious
Agree lol. I love the proximity chat.
Still feels really weird having the game be called War of Rights considering the whole, "The civil war was about states rights!" is just a Lost Cause myth. :\
True. Favorite response is to say, “yeah the states right to own slaves.”
I don’t think “war of slavery” would sell too well💀💀
War of Rights sounds hard. War of Slavery sounds goofy.
My NYS GUARD unit is the 14th Brooklyn!! Many of our members are CW reenactors.
In the game they weren’t wearing red trousers
That’s awesome! I always enjoy watching those reenactments.
Current day there are ruins of the church that was here. While thru hiking the Appalachian trail I actually slept in the ruins of that chruch. Probably wasnt supposed to but I did LOL.
Lol!
Great group, outstanding leadership!
It's a great team to be with!
BTW.. its unbelievable, that your video seems to become a runner haha... 😍

@@perfection.itself. I must say that this was our regimental leader talking and not me. Should have been clear about that.

Well the reason you repeat the orders is because this game is VERY loud. Some people don’t hear it in the heat of the moment

buck and ball maybe early in the civil war when some were still using obsolete smoothbores, but by the time we come to mid war no one uses buck and ball. Buck and ball is one big ball and two little ones used in a smooth bore weapon. After which everyone used rifles single shot weapons.
