Brandon’s first ever vehicle is his Nissan D40 Navara, he bought it off his old boy and quickly started saving up and modifying the D40 Navara to suit his off-roading needs. Brandon is quite young but knows a fair bit about his vehicle, more than most other people his age.
A lot of research has gone into the mods for this vehicle and in the video he tells us why and what he has modified, one fix in particular is the turbo lag on the 2.5l diesel motor.

What an amazing video. I really like it because I have also a D40 2013 Auto and after watching this video I decided to replace the hot pipe, in fact, I have ordered it already and waiting for it to arrive. Brandon, you are a champion mate... Ronny keep the videos coming and if you need another D40 for the modified show, I am in... LOL

I've got a D40 and I've had mine remapped to 200 BHP it gives me more Turk and more power and Im saving fuel averaging 35 mph I highly recommend Remapping The Nissan Navarra .
How much did remapping it cost?
Costs 200$ here

The bash plates are great when on the beach or driving over rocks but if you travel in the Pilbara
and drive though spinafex and it gets caught in the exhaust and the bash plates
your Nissan will burn

Your videos are excellent as always. We've seen vids on sleeping and cooking arrangements, but how do you guys take care of personal hygiene down under? I can imagine smells getting a little ripe after a couple of days with no shower. Thanks

Pisses me off we never got a diesel version of the Navara (Frontier) here in the States. Stuck with my petrol guzzling V6.
The rubber pipe at turbo outlet should change it too, that is plastic and will melt during high boost @28-30psi

can someone help, Iv got a D40 2.5D id like to fit 35" tyres. what suspension lift do I need to install. do I need a body and suspension lift? or is it a same thing ? will I need to do some trimming ? thanks
Nick Tugucci from my understanding of the d40 you would need a 2 inch suspension and 2 inch body for 33’s and maybe a cut out of the metal so for 35’s just a bit more then that!

I was keen on the wrangler but kept hearing about the over heating isssues... So im stuck between a Sr5 or a 76 series landcruiser.. Just trying to find out how much servicing a 76 is cant find much info online.

lord christ Im just worried about the injectors on the cruiser failing.. and cant get a straight answer on when they need to be replaced.. Apparently its a 8k job..

dont need turbo timer, waste of money and time. the newer engines dont need to idle like older ones , the egr valve gums up.
Is that pipe really worth it? Does turbo lag reduced for sure?
Huge difference and you notice the lag you had. Replace all the piping is the go. Plazmaman has good hard pipes.

You don't worry too much about it. Keep an eye out for snakes and brush away the spiders should they be near. If you worry too much you never sleep ;)
It's not that bad, although we have most of the top 10 dangerous snakes in the world here in Australia not that many people die from snake bites...

What is the difference in a Nissan D40 and a D22? The D40 is a newer model? They look to have the same components with just bodywork being different.

D40's are shit! Biggest heap of shit Nissan ever made, have a look at the problems they come with on CZcams. There's a guy in England that has a dedicated work shop making big $$$$ just repairing and fixing Nissan's fuck ups, they're only good till 160,000 then they're ready for the junk yard. Good setup on this D40, nice bar work but should have spent it on a Hilux or a Nissan Patrol.
