This is the third episode from our Moroccan Food series! Today we are starting the day in Casablanca to experience delicious Moroccan seafood at the fish market. We try a few raw oysters before picking our own fish, which will be cooked Moroccan style! We visit Hassan II Mosque and check out the beautiful Casablanca coastline. Then, we go to Rabat to have a traditional Moroccan home cooked meal made by a professional chef in her home. She prepares the most traditional version of pastilla, which is a sweet and savoury pie filled with chicken, along with many other Moroccan side dishes.

I believe it is. I am Moroccan and I am not just saying this because I am Moroccan and proud. But I am just being honest haha no matter what I tried of food I love Moroccan dishes the most. Turkey or beef tagine with prune and sesame seeds, couscous with all kind of vegetables, bestilla of seafood or chicken (royal dish), ... and name it. I think the second best cuisine in the world (as far as I know) is the Italian cuisine!

I love this serie. I live in southern Portugal, in Algarve, and you feel the influence of the Arabs who lived here a few centuries ago. There are many similarities in our cuisine. We also eat baked snails, oysters, grilled sardines and we love a home made stew, cooked in a clay pot, wih meat (chicken, beef, pork or lamb), patatoes and carrots. Sorry my awful english. Meat pie (pastilla)...nice. that's really quality what you have eaten. As moroccan myself, I known that diversity of food represent it different cultures, whitin the country and that is expressed in the food. The simple challenge is always how to combine sweet and sour together. Most people see them separate, but we like to expiriment whit it and why not? Art has no boundries and why food shall have that?

There are great people everywhere.i was 19 yrs old when i moved from Morocco to the US by myself to a small college suburban town , clinton New York .a white liberal non-religious American family hosted me in their house for 3 days, cooked dinner for me, invited me to their grandmothers house , took me to the movies and drove me around to shop for school and find a place to rent. The Christeler family, some of the best people i ve ever met.

المطبخ المغربي يحتل المرتبة الثانية بعد المطبخ الفرنسي والالذ عالميا
الاولى حاليا و الفرنسي ثانيا رغم ان الفرنسي مجرد ديكور
صراحة انا لم اتدوق الطبخ الفرنسي لكن كل ما اعرفه مغديش يكون عندهم احسن من الطنجية و الطاجين ولوبيا المغربية مع الاسماك . فرنسا عندها غير العجائن حنا كنديروها غير فالعشاء
مجرد رأي المطبخ الفرنسي تفوق على المطبخ المغربي ليس في المذاق وانما في طريقة التزيين والتحضير اما الاكل المغربي لامثيل له
