I’m looking to buy a Reg cab 5500 SLT for a Hook lift build and am trying to decide if gas or diesel is best. The gas has a higher payload rating than the diesel, so I’m wondering what the advantages of diesel would be? I’m not looking to tow often if at all, all the weight will be carried on the back. Recommendations??
Go with diesel higher priced fuel but better mileage and most passenger trucks with diesel engines you can get a computer tuner/ detuner from an aftermarket source for better mpg or turn up the power for heavy loads in the mountains.
Looks really close to mine 2022. I have chrome steps,hooks also carpet, 5 passenger, 8.5 screen

The interior seems a lot nicer than the Chevy/GMC chassis cab options. It's good to see Ram embrace towing on these bigger trucks. Wasn't GM recommending against towing with the 55/6500 trucks?
Have you noticed a lot more Rams sitting on the lots? Has the purchasing slowed that you’ve noticed?
My local dealer has had 10 new Ram HD sitting on his lot from last fall! Still no big markdowns on them.

F600 is much better then that truck. Its still very nice though. Could you check out the F600 for a review?
How is a reg cab nicer then this? Maybe if u putting a utility body on it to hold more weight. Otherwise the ride is horrible driving around light

If it ain't broke don't fix it bud. You can just increase your steering radius with aftermarket control arms. Those balljoints are gonna shit the bed at 50k no matter what new pos you're gonna buy. 😂
