There has only been 6 times that a NFL game gone into double overtime!
The most recent was in the 2012 AFC Divisional round between the Ravens and Broncos.
yeah see i mean maybe they could but for it to go 2 overtime is very rare and in madden or just in sports games doesnt happen when you vs cpu or human vs human maybe in like simulation like for QB mode or franchise mode

When a tie occurs they each have one drive and who ever gets the most yards, wins. It's in the rulebook.

I’d make nfl overtime a 5th quarter then field goal shootouts (5 attempts fully defended - no fakes, can’t return blocks). If tied after the shootout, do it again, but from 5 yards further back.

@@davidnica3114 absolutely. I would also take pure PAT shootouts: kick for 1 or go for 2. Sets of 5. Perhaps that for regular season since it’s less intensive.

Overtime is a quarter in itself. Even if time runs out, overtime is still just overtime. Since neither team is guaranteed a possession after a team scores a touchdown(like in college) there is no need for numbers in overtime.
You can make it Quicker if you come out in prevent and have the ability to wait

I'd say that if the game went past 4 or 5 OT's, they should have a field goal competition. They have 10 field goals from the 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 yard lines. Whoever makes the most field goals wins.
