TacticalDoodle and I take it to the Bunker to offer you up a cost effective and yet xlnt Plate Carrier option: the GFire. Tested in hard use X4 Ops, this GFire carrier is comfortable and well made. Well under $100 offered in tan, black, and OD at time of review. Many US made options reviewed here are well over $250 just for the vest; add in body amor and pouches and you'll have a $1000 plate carrier! The links below show you how to avoid that high cost. Probably short-lived so you might want to get it while they're being offered!

Scout154 More gear reviews Nutn! Update gloves video would be awesome 7 2d The Nutnfancy Project Copy, Glove update....I'll get to work on it. just now Todd Strelka I don't watch football after eating Thanksgiving dinner, so I'll watch this later. I could use a plate carrier and some armor. 5 2d Ryan Reese Dude, hope you and the family are doing well. Been praying for you guys. 🤙 4 2d Greg Malcom Happy Thanksgiving Nutnfancy family!! 3 2d Dan Casey Been waiting for this review! Saw your post on Twitter and already bought one. Still need to break it in. 3 2d Bernt Ryggs Excellent vid, Nutn! I geared up on a condor rig on your recommendation way back in the day. Still run it, still love it 3 2d Ryan A Agilite is having a black Friday sale. They have two nice carriers for about 200. Those are out of Israel, and they have nice upgrades. Like better load bearing, ventilation, and quick disconnect. It’s hard these days to avoid Chinese products, because the cost is low and some products really perform well. 2 2d Bill The Broken Nutn great to see - I bought the EXACT rig in fde last month! For the price, man I don't think it can be beat. Thanks for the confirmation! 3 2d Tom Small 3a plates stop handgun rounds only. AR500 has buy one get one sale for level 3 and 3+. Thanks for the video! 1 2d Rob B Hey Tom, I have a set of 3+ plates and a set of level IV ceramic. Of the two, the ceramic is much lighter & more comfortable. However, if price is an issue, don’t hesitate to get the 3+ plates. They really are excellent for the money. I would suggest trauma pads to fit behind them to make them more comfortable to wear and to help fill up the carrier pocket a little better. Cheers. 1 2d Kelly Mcclellan I have a vest from chase tactical. It’s level 4. Currently it only has the ability to carry three AR mags. I’m not sure what else I need to put on it. 2d Jeremy Gontarz Just bought a tan one hopefully it will blend well with jeans and a t-shirt for camouflage in urban setting. Trying not to stick out like a sore thumb. 2d The Nutnfancy Project THat's a good color for that, I think you will like it, let us know 2 2d Load reply Edward mcclure Condor does make a horizontal holster, called the “HT” I think. It’s got molle straps for mounting. It is however, a universal style holster. 1 2d Josh Payne Says he doesnt want to say a price when the price is on a sticker in the middle of the vest lol 1 2d David and Elizabeth Looks like fantastic value for money. Thanks for the video to watch after our Thanksgiving dinner. 👨👩👧❤ 1 2d Patrick Brichta Happy Thanksgiving to All! 2d Trey Baker Hey Nutn seen on Twitter you got the Rona get well soon buddy and great video. 2d The Nutnfancy Project Thanks, yep I got Corona, had some bad cold symptoms, some fluid in the lungs but not too bad. Thanks! 7 2d Load reply Travis Bright Bought one from tweet. About to order a second for the fam. Great fit for all sizes. 2d The Nutnfancy Project Good feedback, thanks 1 2d david rockwell Preparation reduces anxiety and while providing time to assess changing environment. Defensive items like plate carrier/armor assist with the first rule of survival; do not get shot. Thank you for the continued effort and dedication. 1 2d Cyborg009 Thanks for the review. This has always been a low priority but at the price could not be resisted. 1 2d Mike Great vid!! Nutn, have you thought of setting up an email list to keep your followers updated on things if the censorship gets crazy? 2d Rob B I’ve separated my systems according to threat level, but differently from Nutn’s style. I’m fairly thin so my LBE real estate is limited as compared to some of my larger TNP brothers. I have to spread items around vertically. I prefer my pistol on a belt with its 3 spare mags, 1 M4 mag, & an IFAK. I keep 4 M4 mags on my plate carrier w/ a Rat 1 and not much else. I can use just the belt, just the carrier, or both. 1 2d Clint Raby Bought this off of the link in the video of you and Mrs. Nutn testing knifes in the mountains. Still working on outfitting it but I really like it. Thanks again Nutn! 2d Devin Heald Aside from the political environment right now how does one spin the need to have a LBE system to the wife? lol thanks 1 2d David M Behsman Tell your wife that it will help consummate your marriage. At least it kind of works for my uncle. 1 2d Load reply Robert Avery Appreciate the review and enjoyed this video instead of more NFL kneelers today. Happy Thanksgiving to TNP. 3 2d Ruben Lopez TD, there's nothing in my rear, let alone a radio!!! But I am always packing upfront, a long barrel! 2d Guy Actual Picked up a ranger green version... As I don't live in the desert... 2d Joshua Keeler I grabbed a green one as I live in the ozarks. Nice price. 2d Ed Klonowski Thanks NUTN, gave me the drive to get a vest for the wife as well as round my vtac vest out. Finally “squared away”. Thanks 1d Marko B. Too bad i have ordered Helikon-Tex Training Mini Rig just few days a go. Well, hope it will serve me well and if not, this will my next buy. Link to the Helikon is some one is interested: www.helikon-tex.com/en_eur/kk-tmr-cd-training-mini-rig-tmr.html Thx for the great review and a recommendation! 1d Drew Cox Just bought mine last night. I saw the Twitter post, so I placed it in my Amazon cart. Recently started a new contract job that has me really needing a vest now, so that's that! Thanks Nutn and TD. Good to see y'all! 1d Bretti Andrettski I just dove in for the black carrier because I may end up downtown Portland so I'll have a "PRESS" patch on the front and back that way the BLM/Protifa freaks pass me by. Get well Nutn. 23h Foghorn Yup.. Bought one for the son to use with some III plates... I've got some AR500 plates but dang it will be heavy... but he's young and fit... Great suggestion. 21h Ronald RayGun Ordered one in green....2nd cool 14h Racing Psychosis If you cannot pick up a good color for your region, don't be afraid to rattle can that thing with some other more fitting colors. 1 13h Red dog 1 Botach says they have things in stock...... but not so much. They had slow service prior to COVID, BLM and the election. I’ve been waiting on an order for months. I will give you that they have good prices. But how long does one have to wait. 1 11h Mark Hansen Thanks again, Nutn and Doodle. Just ordered one in OD green. Should be here today! Going to set it up similar to that w/IIIA's. Stay safe and be well!! --Mark 1 8h SaltySouthpaw Just bought a condor rig for the same price at a local gun show here in Ohio. From what I see both rigs are exactly the same. Good stitching. Both made in China. So don’t feel bad about buying this one, you’re basically buying a condor."
Thanks for the video! Got my mop in 2012 just after watching your video. G19 with a red dot and a clip draw fit perfect into the older Blackhawk holster. To bad about dpx plates though (still have them :). Keep up the videos!!!! Thanks for all you do!
I always do that. Send a message that isn’t so clear. Blackhawk holster on chest of mopc.
Damn and it's already been removed from Amazon. They're watching us.
You can get the condor mopc on optics planet right now. The plate carrier nutfancy was talking about is still on Amazon this very moment
I am cracking up laughing. I didn’t realize my iPhone auto edited “nutfancy” as “butfancy”. I had to edit it quick. LOL!
Seeing Tactical Doodle all grown up makes me feel old and I'm not much older than he is.
Love tactical doodle making appearance in these videos. Love his input. Keep up the great work guys.
Watched the video when it had been posted 7 minutes. Used your links but would not pull up the vest. Tried my Amazon member link and search it. Found it, bought it. No problem no discounts. But good Deal because your recommendations have always been good. Besides at my age its going to be sitting and waiting for times i can wear it in around the ranch. Im more in defensive mode protecting my grandchildren. Thanks for the heads up. Great job.
Ordered the GFIRE carrier after watching this review. I am impressed!! Really nice and everything Nutn said it was.
Bought this plate carrier like 2 weeks before this review came out. I'm glad that other people also had good experiences with this product.
Because of your inspiration with lbe, I picked up one and learned how to use it. Now I have other systems for other rifles. Not just for 223 556
5:48 man that cliff shot 😍
Replacing the home AC/Heater is on the top of my list
Look up the home repair/weatherization for your county. I lost my job early this year. One AC unit went out and was told I need a new one. The county didn't repair it, they replaced both units, insulation, duct work, sun screens for the windows, and surprisingly my my oven since the seal was worn on the old one. I didn't have to pay for anything.
Alot of folks are in this position
Everything keeps breaking!!!! I'm looking for a washing machine
I just received this carrier yesterday evening from Amazon. Ive had a few $300 carriers in the past, for everyone down here trashing Chinese carriers; you're severely wrong on this one. This carrier is outstanding for the price. If this were made in the U.S. it would be $250 or more. Theres are still in stock on Amazon, if you're on the fence.. Dude pull the trigger. This is a trunk carrier for an active shooter scenario if I have the time to prepare before the shooting starts. Its actually so well done I feel guilty relegating it to the trunk hopefully to never be used. Good eye nutn, thank you.
Nutn, that is 100% the original condor MOPC under a different name / supplier on Amazon with a different / better price, good stuff, mine lasted a decade or decently hard mileage
Yeah I think the Condor MOPC is pretty decent. I bought one way back in the day from nutn's review but realized it didn't fit me good cause I'm small, and was even smaller. I need to sell it on OfferUp/LetGo still lol.
My condor plate carrier has stood up well to light use over the past 4-5 years
@@clamum maybe it would fit me, whst is the size? Id buy it
Mines only lasted a year. Its ripping from the front and back. Doesn't like thick plates. My first condor lasted me over 5 years. Used it almost everyday, but this MOPC didnt. Its 600D I wonder of the Amazon GFire one is better since its 1000D.
I hear my o'l lady in the background "Don't spend any more money this week we're on a budget" Me after watching Nutn "Honey there's a sale going on right now on a chest rig we can't miss out on"!
I hear ya brother! same here. lol
Been looking and yes I didn’t want to spend. Ton. Bought it, thank you guys.
that spot your shooting at on the cliff is super cool.
There are some great army surplus load bearing equipment (LBE) that are really, really cheap. You can't go wrong with an Alice pack paired with a pistol belt and suspenders for $50.
Watched on Patreon last night, and ordered mine! 👍🇺🇸✌️
Thanks for the video and lead on the LBE. Procrastinated long enough on getting one. Ordered up today because of you.
Me too ... I need plates .... RTS or. ?.... Any suggestions.... Effective but affordable.... Thanks
@@robertnelson1098 I'm looking that the stuff from Botach, prices seem reasonable and reviews are good. Waiting to get the LBE in the mail then will evaluate and decide on plates.
@@robertnelson1098 the Daily Shooter just did a review of the RTS level r ceramic plates. Check out his CZcams
I bought the Rothco molle plate carrier with side plate pouches for $60 new in OD Green. I put AR500 level 3+ plates in it and it is holding up really well. Total price for the carrier and plates was $200.
Just bought that vest havnt got it yet but all reviews ive seen have been all good to excellent as of this date dec. 6 2020 i paid $ 147.00
Just picked up an LA Police Gear Atlas plate carrier and a pair of their level 4 plates. Carrier was priced at $80 and the plates were around $120 each. I’m excited to check it all out and get the carrier all set up. I did scope out the shellback tactical beforehand. I’ve got a few condor mag pouches and they’re great for the price. I really like all my other LA Police Gear stuff so far too and it’s also very affordable
I have 3 plate carriers and working on a 4th. I need one for every member of my family. They are expensive. I want the velocity systems scarab LT. I think it’s one of the best top of the line carriers as my other 3 are midline. I want a high quality comfortable all day wear carrier that uses placards.
Having 4 kids it’s not just about getting me squared away... it’s about the wife and kids! They’re all underage but the world we’re making will be theirs soon enough and my best investment is in their ability to resist tyranny. Our forefathers thought ahead... we should too.
Also a good video for updating your gear. Have had a 5.11 VTac lbe vest which is great quality but just need a more updated system capable of holding body armor.
I put my plate carrier on while working around the house.
The weight of the steel plates is easy to get used to. The breathing restriction sorta never goes away.
Like wearing bags on a jobsite; you'll always know they are on, and be grateful to take them off at lunch or end of day, but you will get used to them if you wear them.
you wont have to get used to the weight of the steel plates for long because the first round you take is going to explode back into your face or jugular and probably cause you to bleed to death. get some quality ceramic plates
@@rossowens2328 anti spall coated. Try again.
Really awesome review thanks Nutn!
Thanks another great video appreciate the information
Speaking of wired for sound, I miss those Doodle beats in these vid intro's. Thx for joining TD.
I picked up an AWS ocpc about 18 months ago for $170 brand new and that's the best deal I've ever found.
Keep up the great content fellas
I’ve been here forever,
Thanks as always uncle Nutn & cousin TD
I remember the time when you did a bunch of LBE reviews ^_^
Looks like a quality vest. Very similar to my Mayflower vest.
The condor MOPC gen 2 took your idea with replacing the elastic cummerbund with bungee cord. Also, they changed the cummerbund to hold 6x11 soft armor instead of 6x6/6x8 side plates. I personally liked side plate pockets.
As of 4/2 still available and 64 - 71 on Amazon. I bought mine when the video first went up. Stuck some level 4 hybrid single curve plates in it and it’s holding up well.
How much were the plates and what size
Done and done. Grabbed one!
I’m a cop and I got lucky when my department was getting rid of all the expired vests and they were going to the dump, they said we could have what we want and I got a ton of free Kevlar vests and even a couple steel plates. I have so much body armor now. It’s expired but realistically it still works
If you know the right people you can score big with their surplus. Supposedly those vests can be totally fine, if they've been taken care of. People tend to beat on them, leave them in hot cars, and whatever else that ends up degrading the structural integrity. I wish I had spares to make armor panels out of..lucky!

Happy with my Velocity Systems APC Mayflower, Hesco L210s, and Haley DC3RM Rig. For me, USA made or GTFO on this gear. 🇺🇸 Personally, I don't want to be worrying about budget choices in a WROL situation which is why the rig is set up (in my situation).
Thank you for the video.
just recently got all my stuff from AR500 Armor(beginning of GF Riots). they are local to me here in AZ and the quality has been top notch. Just ordered a full belt setup from them as well yesterday. I figured i should support local and do everything i can to keep the US working instead of other countries... But i totally understand those who cant do that.
Nutnfancy: “I hope you have your load bearing equipment squared away....”

Order one last night after seeing video thanks.
Train in your vest and armor. If you can't jog a mile in a reasonable amount of time in it, it's either too heavy or you are. Invest in good plates. Hesco special threat are the absolute best for their price and worth shopping around for.
End of January 2021 and still same price and still available. Black $72, Tan $65.
Identical to Condor gen 2. Priced about the same too. I'm pretty sure the same China factory makes them. I know the Condor is a good one.
Still around. Checking it out today FYI
Will this accept level4 steel plates? Which size should I get? I just ordered the plate holder this morning. Never used one before but it's time to get ready even if I'm just defending where I'm sleeping at. Thanks for the help in advance.
I bought mine as soon as you mentioned it on the atv trek with Mrs. Nutnfancy. Still waiting on the plates from ar500. 👍
Ar500 is not good
You are wise Goodnight! It's a great vest. I like how much coverage it has.
You need to start doing more core exercises, because the steel plates are going to compress your spine. Don’t ruin your back
Don’t listen to the negativity on the plates. It is extra weight, but if you are in shape or close to it you will be fine. Good job on preparing to take care of your family.
@@55chevy327 I’m not trying to be negative about the steel. I own a set of steel plates. I paid about $55 each I think. I regret that purchase. Completely useless for me. I know armor is expensive. There are places that have cheap hard and soft plates. I’m not in great shape, but I’m not in terrible shape. If you’re actually planning on using steel plates you better be absolutely jacked. I mean built like a super hero. If your really that strong then it might not be a big deal
Hey Nutnfancy, a video for bigger guys would be great, im 285 6ft tall and for example the carriers are 7.5inch wide from back to front and thats like half of what I need. Is there any recommendation for guys that are a little or a lot on the heavier side?
Hey man! Appreciate you! 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Terrible time to save money for gun stuff. Trying to help out the community myself. Hope the courts hook us up!
More merch please would love some hoodies or t shirts
Or beanies
17:42 I like how you just stop for a sec so we can clearly hear that fart😂😂😂
This Gfire looks identical to the Condor MOPC. Is it the same, only rebranded?
Another great option is HRT and either the HRAC or RAC. For the $140 u pay for the HRAC or the $180 for the RAC, your getting a lot of quality.
Best to get Armor Express and a blauer vest for it. Armor Express can be worn stand alone under clothes for those situations
Few years ago I got setup for 2 systems after the “you’re not ready” soldier boy video. I can arm up me and a neighbor. I don’t know what is going to happen and when but I have an idea. I mean I can grab my shit right now and arm up me and a neighbor it’s all set up. I would probably give him the AR LBE and I take the 12 gauge so he can carry his own rifle. Be ready as fast as we can don it.
I’ve got two eagle plate carriers a condor and a cheap 40$ something I got off eBay. And honestly I like the condor the best and is what I would use. It’s a lot more minimalist than the eagles. The two eagles I have are really nice but with the cummerbund they are a little bulky. I have all of them setup with lvl 3+ steel plates except the smaller Chinese one from eBay it just has soft armor in it.
Actually bought some kids vest off eBay too, had to modify them to except plates but they actually work good have one for my 8yr old son and 6yr old daughter. Just put my 6”x8” side plates in them. Fit perfect but once my son gets a little bigger he’ll need to move up to a 8”x10” plate and we can pass his down to my 3yr old son
So 2008
Instead checkout Velocity systems lepc, spiritus systems covert and overt or just a travis haley micro chest rig. Huge quality jumps and more efficient than running nylon molle everywhere
Have you guys gotten over Covid yet? I know you said you were suffering from it during Thanksgiving. How is/was it? Hope you’re all well.
Dont forget, need plates with a plate carrier. Doesn't matter what, anything is better than nothing.
Agree!
I would argue that steel is worse than nothing. Steel stops rounds, but you’ll never wear it. If you do wear it then the loss in mobility may get you shot. it’s just too heavy to be anything but a static barrier
@@keithrobicheux4749 my Spartan stuff with side plates and 3 mags is under 30lbs. My 100lb girlfriend can chore in her’s. The weight is a small price to pay when covering your vital bits. Ceramics would be great but the cost and chance of breakage when bouncing around in a truck bed or trunk is something many people don’t want to deal with.
Textbooks, tile, and duck tape is better than nothing. Steel is actually pretty good against slow moving rounds, as long as fragments are caught.
NB: spalling only happens with tank armor and HESH/APDS 120mm levels of energy.
@@sethw4569 Good points. Bulk is also a consideration for me as far as plates.
Will 10×12 plates work in this carrier?
Think this will fit 11x14 curved panels? seems the curve might make it too tight?
So the side pouches you said 6x6 plates, maybe 6x8. What size would you recommend for the front and back? You probably said but I have a short attention span and never watch the full video lol. I’ve seen people put like 3 different sizes in the front and back and don’t know what to buy
so not sure if you have done a vid on this but mebbe an idea if not. i have my lbe setup already done. could you do a video on say your wifes setup? specifically for women. my wife loves her ar so just trying to figure out what to get in these turbulent days....ty for considering this.
You need to add some length to the bunker. Too close together and this makes you sound like you are in a box. Is this a room safe? (You don't need to answer if OPSEC) I am sure the "guard duty" added mind set and skills. Thanks for the video.
When is the review for the takedown Savage coming you teased it we saw it
Good stuff
Question: if we are caught out in public after SHTF wearing an angry owl TNP patch on our LBE, does that automatically subject subject the wearer to a gear-check? 😉
You better believe it! If you don't have at least a rifle, pistol, and 3-4" knife you will be subject to penalty by pantsing.
@@evilassaultweaponeer ... thus revealing the tactical ballistic underwear, making up for points lost by lack of rifle, pistol, or tactical knife. 👍
What goggles are you rockin nutn
Nutnfancy is this PC comparable to the condor MOPC in quality
We gotta get a good review on some LAPG stuff too
Definitely cool but looks hot. I prefer to carry minimalist plate carrier with LBE over top. Mostly because I am a scout ranger type on foot over wild terrain. I don't carry more than lvl 3 PE soft plates, 44 mag. But my plates and carrier only weigh about 4lbs total. SAWC makes me compromise on my armor. But I'd rather move fast than die. I think of the macvsog, lrrp, reece, and they were relatively lightweight. It's comfortable wearing soft armor in a slimline carrier. It's important to me to have good torso mobility and be able to get close to the ground. If I need to, I can incorporate a porcelain ceramic tile into the system. For me, the idea is to have some armor for peace of mind. But it's ridiculous to carry an extra 5-10 lbs when always on foot.
What are you guys running for Glock 30rnd mags??
That looks identical to a condor I got 4-5 years ago
I am getting into airsoft you think this would give good padding for that
i have this carrier under the brand name rothco. it is identical in every way minus brand name.
The problem with body armor (or LBE) videos is that so many older videos contain now defunct Amazon links. (Did they ban body armor?)
If you don’t need Mille or side plates then the Blackhawk lo viz pc is pretty good and cheap
Why is the 2nd velcro line longer on both sides?
What pouches do you prefer for ar10 mags?
I just picked up one of these carriers seems to be really good quality but they missed the stitching on one of the Molly loops so kind of disappointed with that
Awesome. 😊
Looks a lot like the Condor MOPC plate carrier. Got steel plates first, but currently run military ceramic plates. Much lighter, slightly thicker.
Pretty sure it is the same OEM as Condor.
What plates do you recommend for this vest?
Anyone own one of the Botach Battle Steel plate carriers with the cumberbunds and kangaroo pouch? I'm curious if it will fit battle steel 10x12 plates more snugly than the MOPC. I really don't need all this excess material that they added to make it compatible with BALCS cut soft armor and every plate size and shape on the planet. I'd be grateful if anyone has one and Battle Steel plates who could let me know how snugly they fit.
Have a agilite k19 with some ultra light polyethylene plates
Will this fit 11x14 curved plates?
That Gfire is a NCStar 2924 if I ever saw one. The only difference I can see is this has loops for wires or hoses but for all I know NCStar may include those also now. It's been a few years since I acquired mine. Everything else is identical.
Doesn't Gloryfire make knockoff earpro? It would be crazy if Gloryfire is also making knockoff NCStar carriers considering NCStar stuff is cheap chinesium to begin with.
Oredered. Thanks fellas!
I’m not gonna say the price then proceeds to show the price. Lol
Is this good enough for LEO?
I have a simple/cheap front & back plate carrier from Botach that carries 2 level IV plates. I just can't seem to get it to cooperate with my body shape; I'm skinny enough that the front plate sticks out at an angle, and the back plate is way too flat for my arched back. I'm just being honest here...does anybody with more plate carrier experience think that a better quality carrier with a cumberbun might make a difference? Or is it more of a flat plate vs. my body issue?
I know the carrier you have and they are better suited to level II/III UHMWPE plates. If you have the level IV, you should get a better carrier.
@@lonewanderer3603 I'll definitely look into that, including side plates. Thanks!
Looks pretty similar to a fox tactical vital vest.
As of 11/28, its $72.00 @ Amazon
I need a plate carrier, so sell me one. I have been with the project forever ❤
Check out what the uk and eastern bloc pcs as well.
Bring enough Tourniquits...Thanks TNP
Veritas lite from AR500? They're less than $100 for just the carrier
I used to go the "affordable" route on LBE. I've found the nylon to be of decent quality usually but it comes down to the use of cheap buckles and bad stitching that always became a failure point for me. Since having these breakages I've switched to spiritus systems (for many reasons, weight, low profile, no excessive fabric, quality stitching etc..) not knocking anyone who buys and uses the condor/gloryfire stuff though, it will absolutely do its job just be prepared with an extra buckle and some way to remedy a bad stich in the field.
Nutn said in the review that the stitching and buckles were high quality, maybe finish the video before making leaving an unsolicited negative comment? Just a thought. Im so sick of seeing comments like this on videos, finish the video.
Everyone would love to get a premium rig. Most can't afford it, can't justify the purchase at the time or can't see a reason to when China is making things nearly on par for half the price.
Agreed. Generally speaking, the only problem with the Chinese stuff are the little details. When you compare the Chinese knockoff to the originals, they typically feel very similar, but you’ll find random dimensions, stitches, etc that aren’t the same, and there is often a reason for why the original was made the way it was. It’s the difference between users designing equipment and companies just trying to make some quick money.
@@tv92taylor that's absolutely true and a very good point. Typically they are simply copying a mire well known pre-existing carrier as close as they can or in some cases just frankly find reasonably close enough. Usually they do not physically have or know the reference article, combined typically with not having first hand knowledge of the things they are making. In my opinion usually the cost to quirks is acceptable.
