Best HD videos on the web! Thank you
Thank you very much fork the support!
Thanks for the install video Steve.
youre very welcome ded..thanks for checking it out
Amazing video brother
thank yoU!
If the control buttons for air ride and center stand would be on the handle bars that would be much much better, i might get a little hot in that area where you have them now.
Nice video man! Just did the front on my 09 street glide this weekend. Had an issue with the pistons not going in and moving freely. Getting some new ones sent out since both were tight. Thanks for the videos!
Good deal Josh...glad they got you sorted, youll love the air once you get the sweet spot lined out
I absolutely love all your videos brother keep it up thank you😊
thank you Phillip! Much appreciated sir!
Awesome video 📹
thank you mr.c~!
Is oil supposed to pass puck while your pumping it - and shoot out the top fitting -
I’m having issues but mine is a 2011 and yes I bought correct kit
But when I was checking for bump stops oil was shooting out top
Thanks for great videos as always , i got 2009 road glide cvo which I've put drop in lowering front fork spring ... What i did is just to put the main spring , short spring but no pvc spacer on it ... I also put 21" wheel with fender riser , do you think it'll bottom out ? I havent actually hit any deep bump yet. Reason i didn't put pvc spacer on it last time is because the second short softer spring is already sticking out the fork quiet much
I am debating in putting an air suspension on my RG 22. I tried to get reviews about the difference but could find it. Please help.
Will those pistons or that kit fit in my 2005 Harley Davidson Electra Glide classic
these are 14 and newer 49mm forks...yours will be smaller and they do make poucks for that...13 and older touring.,..just give them a call and they will set you in the right direction to everything you will need.
What kind of tweeters are those in the fairing, where the stock mirrors went?
Tab Performance Zombie Breath Air cleaner with the DK Customs external Breather..here is the install video on both czcams.com/video/nPcRQgplN0c/video.htmlsi=SfKMK6pfp-OwEl6R
Can i use the same air tank that came with the rear air ride for both front and back or do i have to get a bigger one.
its the same air tank...as I showed in the video all i did was hook up to the already existing tank...it has plenty of air to get you off the ground and going when its full.
Nice thank you sir
Thank you
youre very welcome
Would a front air ride kit be suitable for a triglide?
You can certainly run air on your trike but I dont think it will give you the best ride. Watch my video on the dk custom comfort shocks, race tech springs and intimidator valves ...far superior ride vs air ride. Rear shocks czcams.com/video/PIbq8gxpiks/video.html front shocks - czcams.com/video/oKCChu4NgPw/video.html
What size socket Allen Is that for the fork caps?
19mm on the cap and 12mm at the bottom
Bad ass 😎💯 love ur content
thank you for checking it out!
Please do a video on how to make the janky ass fork holder...I have the same clamp
Ill try to get one made up.
Thx S. 🤘
thank you denis!
Did you use loctite on any of the bolts? If so what kind? The manual says 246 but it isn't easy to find. Does it really mater the type of loctite?
Yes and 243 is perfectly fine to use on all fasteners that require medium strength. This is the one I buy..cheaper than any other place I have found amzn.to/42mC7ad
Can u use bump stops on a heritage? I did a 3" drop and dented the fender. My 2" drop the crash bar will still touches the fender when i ratchet it down as a trailer queen.
yes..you can use them on any bike
Hi Steve thanks for the bump stop explained details. I had asked this from your RG install. Anyhow on a different note. I run a air gauge on my bike, wondering if you can give me your sweet spot pressures for the front end and the rear?
well at this time I only have the air gauge on my sg and its only the rear...so not sure on the front right now...when i was in sturgis I just messed with it a bit going down the road until i found the best spot..its easy to put way to much air in the front...it really raises way up on you if your not careful
I WANT THIS! I also want this 10" bars. May I ask what kind they are?
Hey David...yes sir they are the la choppers twin peaks 10" here are the black ones amzn.to/4azU21t and here are the chrome ones amzn.to/4awufXF you cans ee in the video that the 10 stop behind the fairing. So you will need to relocate your mirros to perch style mirrors and to make the install easier get the 10" extensions for the thumb controls...its super tight if you dont..well worth the money. Harley has them but here they are at dennis kirk www.denniskirk.com/kst-kustoms/10-in-handlebar-wire-extension-harness-wire-ext-10.p2102836.prd/2102836.sku if your bike is 2014 or newer...if not look for your year. If you go above the fairing, 12" on up, you dont have to relocate your mirrors but you will need to extend most of your cables. I hope this helps.
What socket size are the air fittings so I can order a split socket to be able to do the 90* fittings? Thanks.
Im sorry I dont remember right off hand ...give them a call and they can let you know
That's so awesome
thanks for checking it out William!
would your center stand change at all with front air? wondering if you could sit it lower with front air or if it will be about the same sit with just rear
you dont have to change it, it will just put more weight on the bike when its aired out which is a good thing...however you can change the feet on the bottom, depending on which stand you have, so you can lower the bike slightly when aired out.
@@sikbaggers I went with the SOB stand and the AFK switches, about ready to do install but I notice SOB says to use a 5 amp fuse on the actuator and I noticed AFK says max amp is 5 anything more you need a relay... I didnt notice anywhere if you had these or if I need them. Please if I do would you let me know what I need to get. Thanks Steve!
@@Dillonxxxx you can run a 5 amp fuse on a max 5 amp switch. so just put 5 amp fuses in and you'll be fine.
I was told from my local harley that I can't do a lowering kit in the frount cuz I have a 21wheel
You most certainly can.....youll need about 3 bump stops to be safe.
@@sikbaggers can you tell me what kind of lowering kit I can use ?I have a 2018 street glide not a special. Thanks
Hi there. Excellent video. I currently have same system.
Question : if I want to change fork fluid down the road is there an easy way to do it or do I need to remove whole leg and tear down and reinstall ? Thanks
on 14 upo touring youll need to take them off..the drain is at the bottom and the fill at the top ...you only need to remove the top cap and air puck though...no need to strip them all down.
I have a 2012, are the earlier models able to be done without tearing out ?
Thank you.
How would this kit work out for me on a 2020-Harley-Davidson-TRI Glide Ultra?
the rake is a little different on the tri glides but certainly still doable
Thanks for the video! Nice detail and easy to follow. Doing full air on my 2020 RG soon, so between this and your Whisky Project video, I'm feeling like a "professional" LOL.
Q: what kind of pressure do you run in the front? And do you have a dual gauge in mind? Thanks!
thank you for checking out the videos Andre and glad they are helping..sorry for the late reply been down with the flu.,..take care!
So, I have been following you for some time. I had a bike shop install my air ride suspension but on hard bumps it makes a clanking noise. Is there a way to fix this?
should not be clanking at all...sounds like something internal ...really only way to check it pull it apart.
is it pretty easy to install? I do all my own work if i can wheels , brakes , oil , handlebars, exhaust.
if you can do all of that you can do this. Refer to this video if you need help..its pretty straight forward
How good is the ride I love my dirty air rear
the ride is great! Just like the back there is a sweet spot...find it and youll be gold
interesting... mine only required 4 total bump stops on each side. 21" wheel with fender extenders on a stock fender. This left me with 1/4" gap when aired out/all the way down. Maybe some usefull info for someone out there.
yeah i could have got away with less...however i really want to keep the bike level when its aired out. i removed a few just testing it and the front sit lower than the rear...didnt care for that look
I'm interested to hear thoughts on Dirty Air vs Legend Air. I want (or think I want) the front air ride, which Legend doesn't offer. But Legend is a name I know, so my only real question (well two) is, is the front air suspension superior to the cartridge style that Legend has, and in terms of quality and longevity is one better than the other? This is for a 2018 Tri Glide Ultra.
Where can I get those bump stoppers from?
dirty has them here...use the drop downs for your bike www.dirtyworks-kc.com/dirty-air-front-fork-bump-stops.html
Youre not going to need a 30 pack so order them individual ...I used 5 on each side in the end.
Yup 👌👍😎
thank you sir
What size wheel are you running? I plan on doing a full air ride soon. Seems like it could get lower. Can you get it lower than that?
16 inch real wheel with a 1 inch lowering block./ Thats as low as it gets before it hits the tire. The bags are only 4.5 inch...so maybe look into a set of 7 down and out bags...it will appear to be lower or build a lay frame
@@sikbaggers that's cool I like that. Also, what about the front....wheel size and could you lower it any more?
What about a 17 SG with a 21 front and 18 rear ? You think the air ride would still work ?
It will still work HOWEVR you will be on the fender when you air out. be aware of that. It will hit the fender before you are all the way aired out.
@sikbaggers appreciate. I'm still on 16 rear until I need a tire. I may just stay 16 and do the air ride then.
Wait a minute did you do 2 ugadugas with the torque wrench in the fork clamps??? That’s gotta be a first for 2 ugadugas on this channel lol
yes sir....the service manual calls for 2...that is the only time youll see 2 uggaduggas lol
I wish my bike didn't have ABS. Way more room for activities.
yeah the abs system takes up some room but you can get creative and put it in several places. In front of the battery and also behind the battery.
Bagger are a pain in the the but.
id build 5 more baggers before i would tackle another softail...bet lol
@@sikbaggers ya there just to heavy the crap you have to go through to make them ride right with the Cadillac price for parts.
He said Jankie ass harley-davidson fork holder 😄
haha cheap o home made holder and have done a ton of forks on it...works great!
@@sikbaggers love it, love your videos
@@werethelanhams7417 I use Danco 6"x6" Rubber Faucet Packing Sheets. amzn.to/3KXynoQ Cut them to size and glue them on with spray adhesive amzn.to/3MB6apn After 10 or so fork oil changes I had one come off...just re glued the same piece back on and kept using it.
