His selection of women's team also paid off this year. Only two changes which are Sophie and Wareham, except these everyone were hesson's picks. The only mistake hesson did is to release yuzi chahal, except that I don't think he has made blunders like the current 🌺 and bobat
Lol we qualified because we were not playing at the chinnaswamy. Playing in UAE 2 out of those 3 years helped us. And then in wankhede, eden and Chennai the third year.
Otherwise our record at chinnaswamy over the last 10 years is just to provide the vibe to fans and nothing else. We have fans who have been brainwashed into expecting very little.
We should invest in bowling especially indian bowlers and have a better Indian batting core. We can't win with this strategy ever.

We want Mike Hesson Back!!
He brought a sense of calmness with him and he was very assured of what he did. Yes he made the mistake of Letting go of Yuzi, but that was also due to the auction dynamic and him not coming in the Marquee list. Hesson tried to change the Batting Heavy Culture of Rcb and invested in Bowlers, he Retained Siraj who was the future at the time, Got Hazlewood and Hasaranga some of the best t20 ranked bowlers in the world and made a gem of a trade that got us Purple Patel. Unfortunately Harshal hadn't been the same after his family tragedy but this just shows how good Mike Hesson was for us!! We qualified 3 seasons in a row and on the verge of the 4th one as well. UAE pitches may have helped but the dressing room calmness of this man was amazing and defining roles for players was spot on.

@@akky3553 at least he invested in quality bowlers, Hazlewood was the no. 1 or 2 ranked t20 bowler at the time, Hasaranga was one of the best up coming leg spinners and the trade for Harshal Patel got us Purple Patel, he was great, but unfortunately he hadn't been the same ever since his family tragedy. Chahal was a mistake I agree, but atleast he tried to change the batting heavy culture of RCB.

However if we leave that 1 mistake... can't we see that still we qualified after leaving yuzi... But our bowling was never this weak under hesson.... He was good mindset person... Just look at the women's team .. hesson built that squad initially those domestic players and eventually we got the cup... Luke Williams, excellent coach for women's team for rcb now.... This management isn't getting enough scrutiny for what they've done. They deserve a lot more of it.
We had a far better balance last year than what we have this year. These guys came in, gutted everything out, brought in underwhelming replacements and hell some areas weren't even addressed.
How can one buy 4 overseas fast bowlers, when you can only play one?
It made zero sense especially when you have no decent spinners and have players like Anuj Rawat batting in the middle order.
We had the biggest purse before the auction. And these guys came home with Cam Green, Alzarri Joseph, Tom Curran, Lockie Ferguson, Saurav Chauhan and Yash Dayal.
No investment on domestic spinners.
No investment on domestic batsmen.
No investment on overseas spinners.
No investment on overseas middle order batters.
And these guys actually had the audacity to tell us this was all part of the plan and they actually did a good job.
The season was over at the auction itself.
Getting rid of Hasaranga and brining Karn Sharma as the main leg spinner is the biggest downgrade I've ever seen
