  • In this video, we show you how to do a basic tune on carburettor balancing, idle mixtures and idle speed on a Triple Weber Carb setup. This set is on a 202 in an EJ/EK engine bay.
This set uses our house engineered ProHex Linkage setup.

Best advice is to start by following the Weber Tuning Manual and use the progression holes to align the throttle plate on all 3 carbs to be in the same position - which is the edge of the plate obstructing the first progression hole. If done correctly then the air flow meter will show the same on all intakes (assuming the throttle plate shaft is not twisted).

Thanks for this video. Can you do a video on what the differences are on Weber carburetors. Choosing the right one for your car etc.. E. G Weber 32/36 ,34/34, 38.. Would be awesome for beginners wanting to understand Weber's.

Have a look at the Weber tuning manual (also some details shown on this video : czcams.com/video/qndixQxhV_8/video.html )

superb can you just confirm when you are balancing and you disconnect the linkage i am assuming the adjustment you are making is the effective the tickover screw as i cant quite see? On my triple set up i have all three carbs connected to the throttle bar so i guess the best way will be to disconnect these and try and balance them to the carb that has the throttle cable connection I am assuming? Great video best i have seen

Best practice is to have them all disconnected and start by adjusting each carby throttle valve so the edge of the valve aligns with the first progression hole. With this done each carby should flow the same and as such they will be balanced.
