Hello Nicole. Just before I watched this video I watched a video from Japan where someone was eating a banana flower for the first time. It was very informative. I never knew they were edible even though we grew them in our back yard when I was a child. You are so right about not needing much money to eat well. I grew up in a working class suburb in Queensland Australia. Even though it was just a suburban block we had everything. We had chickens ducks fruits and vegetables. My father was a good provider and we never went hungry. We grew bananas watermelons, lemon, chokos, strawberries, tomatoes ,beans, gooseberries and many other things. We ate the older hens on special occasions as there were no frozen chickens in those days. your meals are always healthy.💖

Does anyone know what was in the can she put the onions on top of?
What is the name of the white cookware you use? It seems like a good product.👍
Sorry for my ignorance but how do you use banana blossoms? I had never seen them or heard about them before 😳
I was going to ask the same question.
Hopefully she will make a video and teach us how she uses them.😊😊
It's common here in ASEAN country to eat banana blossom. Where I'm from (Malaysia), the most popular dish using banana blossom is called "masak lemak jantung pisang". But I'm not sure if youtube has the recipe.😅
Here in the Philippines, there are variety of dishes that you can make using banana blossoms, like, burger pattie, shanghai, sisig, it can be cooked with coconut milk...Filipinos are creative😊
It is cooked and is common here in southest asia.. Will make a video on how it's cooked on my next upload. Thank you for watching 😊
@@MrsNicoleFietas thank you for your reply, I look forward to seeing how you cook it ☺️
dont worry too much about the old worn shirt - i am it is very soft to the skin after many washings. my husband hates to throw away his old TEE shirts and the same with his ball caps. yes to more info on the banana blossoms - those are new to me.
Thank you for watching 🥰
If we don’t skip commercial it will help her earn a bit more as well go help with their house being built😊
When I saw the cutting down of the banana flowers I thought you were destroying the beginning of future bunches of banana: I couldn't believe what I was seeing. However, I have learned that the blossoms can be put to good use. I live in a tropical country in Central America, where we grow and export bananas. Please tell us how the banana suckling bloom is used in the Philippines.
Can i join you for breakfast?
