96 is an upcoming Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by C. Prem Kumar who earlier handled the cinematography for Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, the film features Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan in the lead and the film is bankrolled by Nandagopal of Madras Enterprises. The music for the film is composed by Govind Menon, who is currently working in Balaji Tharaneetharan’s Oru Pakka Kathai and N. Shanmuga Sundaram is doing the cinematography

@@Sri-wg3ne somewhat true...but he has a very interesting point here...its a period when there was a major technology takeover in our lives...earlier we had to wait cautiously before a landline to talk to our lovers or the other option was letters(glad that even some of my friends love writing letters) and nowadays things are comparatively more accessible and the magic of longing and patience have vanished...and thus on some level what the director speaks transcends truth ....plus i feel that these things about innocence,loyalty and naivety is absent in present day kids...maybe becoz mocking and making funny memes about each other,digital medium has become the norm of the hour... its just a personal opinion... :) ...peace out
One of the best movie from Tamil industry. in the entire movie , there is no tag scenes (Cigarette, Drinks) and there is no negativity scenes and characters. Director is really talented to carry this type of screenplay without single boring scene. He is basically a cinematographer and music lover , it is reflecting in the entire movie. Don't miss this movie. Kudos.
