    When it first came out, I thought it's the most beautiful sports bike ever made. Now, it's still beautiful and comparable to current bikes. It was ahead of its time. Classic looking bike. 👌

    I've had my red 900Tre for 13 years now. Never had a problem apart from the missing neutral and the hard on the hand clutch about town.
    Get all the fixes done and you have a lovely original looking machine.

    The Benelli was designed in 1999 , Chris you know it then raced in WSB 2001 and 2002 scoring points beating some of the suzuki, kawasaki, yamaha, honda (jap bikes)and Ducati .Petronas couldnt do that and i'd love to get my hands on one of those. They are a little fickle but i've never followed the crowd.why not buy a bike that has more than enough power 136bhp few more than a GSXR750 when it handles well and looks fantastic if youre ever lucky enough to see one in the flesh. I took mine to the IOM there were 12,000 bikes there only 3 tornados. I have 6 bikes the one that people like to see is the Benelli and love to hear it.

    I've owned mine for about 2 months and Absolutley love it.
    Bad points: neutral is impossible to find.
    Easy to hit the horn instead of the indicator.
    Mirrors can't be angled for my riding position: solution: pass everything !
    Lights aren't great
    Good points: plenty of power (for me anyway!)
    It not cramped for my height. I'm 6 feet 1 inch.
    Handles great.
    Sounds awesome.
    Eye turner!
    Rare as, worth keeping. Mines only done 2800 Km's when I got her.
    It's beautiful.
    Only one in nz as far as i know :)

      ive almost come to temptation and bought one a couple of times 10 yrs ago, I must admit I liked the styling , unique ,, and they were quite cheap compared to its competition ,,, its simple with a bike I think it comes down to what makes you happy and that's it,,,,

    • @PhilOsGarage
      @PhilOsGarage Před 9 lety

      I bought one over winter, so am still running it in, but agree with all of your points, neutral on mine is tricky rather than impossible, and yes, the horn is where the indicators should be! The mirrors are odd - they seem wrong, but a dip of the head reveals a great view behind, but I am shorter than you at 5' 8" Don't expect to find any more new ones, I got the last standardTRE. There are a couple of LE's left, but at £10k they may be there for a while. Gorgeous bikes and I feel very fortunate to have one.

    36k euro. Wonder how many that sold at that price......err not many. But they are great bikes, and the howl of the triple through the pipes is simply awesome. I have had 4, 2 were problematic, and the others flawless if you care for them. Motorcycle art

    the cable tie is being used to measure the travel distance of the fork. most tuners have it there as a marker to check the lowest point of the fork travel during hard braking. try lookin up youtube for sag adjustment.

    I think the bike looks alright. However for the money, it'll stay where its at lol. Weak on the power side. You can take one of these new 600cc bikes and beat that machine. Or it would be a close race. Nothing wrong with being different but this bike just a waste of money. Too much money for no real power from a bike. Notice you dont see it in any real races either. not on WSBK, not in AMA, Not in the Isle of man, Not in GP. This just a collector type bike^_^

  • @Chris10rx
    @Chris10rx Před 11 lety

    You got this bike? Based on hp, I'm sure I would have no problem using the full power of this bike. The bike is weak. On the track you can't ever use the full power of any bike unless you're on the TT Isle Of Man track. I'm not going to argue with you either. This bike just worthless. 136hp. That thing would have a hard time beating a GSXR-750. In either case I like the tail section of the bike. I'd say it has the best looking tail section of all bikes. Too bad it sucks though.

  • @Chris10rx
    @Chris10rx Před 11 lety +1

    hahahaha!! That weak ass bike. I don't ever want to toss leg over this thing. As for gp, the bike not coming back. The last time this thing was in gp was back in the 60s. 1959-1960. Which was in a 250cc class. They haven't done anything since that time period. Not in the racing world anyway. Don't get on here thinking you know it all when you really don't. If you like the bike, then fine. Ride what you like. However this machine just sorry and priced high for no reason. Jap market shut it down.
