A very Finnish joke - so dry. She sure had heard her share of the guys throwing such jokes - her crack likely came from the backbone as a first thought how to react to the question. Knew that Nightwish fans would feel it familiar, right after she said it :) You can see she had fully grown to a part of the band family by that time. I mean they all likely felt it in 2013 already, if not in the end of 2012

I love how a Finnish tabloid once made headlines with "Nightwish isn't making profit, tee hee". All they knew was spotting Tuomas & co. waiting for a train like any other man in the street, lmaooo
When they're talking about "not heavy enough for Nightwish" - Marko says "We're Nightwish!" He's absolutely right. Tuomas is the composer (along with Marko) for Nightwish - THEY determine what Nightwish is - not the fans. If the band follows only what a certain fanbase demands, it's called cubby-holed and the band doesn't grow. They have reached far more people over the past ten years than they ever did in the beginning. The fan base needs to grow, but a few are not willing.
Well said brother. I don't get why some NW fans were not happy on the band's music today. It will be boring if they stuck to their style.

Nightwish is the one band I have committed to re listening to each album several times to better appreciate every corner of the albums
Once you start listening to their music, you will never ever (want to) stop listening to them. It makes you feel alive in every nerve of your body!
I just watched another interview with Sabaton, and i got the same vibe from them
They are all just so kind and down to earth.
If you look at the popular 'artists' of today, they are very arrogant and some of them even don't allow you to stand next to them when taking a photo.
These guys just seem like your next door neighbours.

MegaGothmog I agree completely, most metal bands are a lot smaller then pop artists so, I guess that's why they're more down to earth
I really think it has to do with the fact that many metal musicians and fans are usually outsiders, maybe nerdy. I've read it a lot. Many metal artists and fans were picked on or bullied. It's kind of a huge family. That's how i feel when i go to concerts anyways.
And what a gem of a album it turned out to be. ❤️🤘WE WERE HERE
I particularly liked Emppu trading a hat for a guitar at the end of the Elan video. I hope the members all continue to see each other as partners and keep making music together.

Floor bring a whole new dymanic to the band,,,Tarja was great but her operatic style was VERY limited
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Tarja or Annette were so involved with the early rehearsals and experimentations. I think that having Floor involved from the beginning makes all the difference. It makes her more invested in the group dynamic.
You might be right with this. =)
The band said Tarja was never with them in the sound checks and rehearsals. She just went to the stage. That mood shows up in her concerts, when there’s Nightwish and then Tarja in the same stage.
With Floor you feel communication, smiles…
Floor was just there at the right time. Like a miracle.
Okay so what makes Nightwish great to me? Well let us say it is the composing combined with the talent. The production is nothing short of brilliant . There are subjects in the words that I do not agree with...but I am looking at the brilliance of Tuomas , and I hope I spelled that right . From that fans reaction posts on youtube , I have not seen anyone picking up on the classical influence of this brilliant composer. I hear old Europe classical sound. I hear a little Ireland, Scotland , and of course Finland within. the composing and combining that with the metal tone . Add to that a well thought out stage production and it is no wonder why this band has had great success. I have listened to the other two singers in the older records and compared them to Floor , and in each case they were good , but lacked the dynamics or came across with a well rounded tone that fit into the musical performance. Her voice just fits like a glove and her stage presents is far more creative. Great job Nightwish !

@@adolfoalbornoz3730 Maybe for you, but that doesnt matter for me :) I believe tarja has a strong finnish accent, and floors english is much more understandable. Just my opinion. In here for the music, not how they talk in real life you see

Needing to listen to the album more than once is very accurate. On my first listen, I didn't think they were really making the best use of the most metal singer they have had. Even now, I wish it had a bit more crunchy guitar, more of Floor belting, and I was really hoping for at least one song with Marco singing lead.
That being said, I can't stop listening to Elan, EFMB, and GSoE. They are absolutely fantastic and Floor makes full use of her range and control.
I hope this is just the first in a long line of Nightwish albums in the Floor era.

That looks like a dynamic mic, to correctly use such a thing it should be within ~5 cm from the audio source (in this case, mounth). Clearly the interviewer didn't know this.

Everett Cox He's had bad insomnia for many years now. He's just taking a rest. When the tour is over they'll see how he is and what to do, so it's not % departure yet.
SirKuriboist Thanks so much for your reply. This new drummer is very good too, he sounds like he's played with Nightwish before so if Jukka can't return, hopefully this guy will be his replacement.
Kai Hahto is one of the best if not even the best drummer from Finland so he has definitely earned his place. I think he used to teach Jukka to play few times back in the days.

Everett Cox Try listening to Wintersun, Swallow The Sun or old Rotten Sound when Kai was in it. Super talented drummer. And I think he has even won some "best drummer title" in some competition as well if I remember correct.
