I just love the development of Kageyama with his epithet. He's no longer a ruthless dictator, but a King that works hard to actually understand his team. He's a King and damn proud of it.
I know that this song has been done time and time again, but it fits Kageyama so well I just had to. I hope you all enjoy!
**Small side note. I read the manga, and some translations from there I grew attached to over how the anime was translated, so I used the manga translations instead. Hope it wasn't too jarring for anyone!
** Side note #2: I actually started this in like August of last year, because I was super pumped about getting season four, knowing that means we'll get THE crowning scene animated. Of course, though that just meant I had a few months of letting this project collecting electronic dust as I wait for season four to actually be released oop.
It's pretty basic as far as AMVs goes, but I'll just be doing what I can to improve from here on out!

YES SOMEONE DID A AMV OF KAGEYAMA WITH THIS SONG. i always thought that this is kageyama's song. the lyrics here just make sense for kageyama. "you're alone. you're on your own. so what, have you gone blind? Have you forgotten what you have and what is yours?" it matches so well since he was the king of the court in middle school. he was lonely in middle school. he lost himself. when he got to karasuno he wanted to change for the good. and he did. he was scared about what happened in middle school and he was worried it would happen again in high school. hinata helped him so much. he told him to toss and do the quick and over the time they were the monster duo. he told him that it doesn't matter if he is the king again. he wants kageyama to be himself. karasuno was the first ever team that accepted him. "you can be king again" and he did in the best way. the way he has changed throughout the whole show makes me so happy. this is so underrated. good job :)

second of all I...honestly don't have words for how amazing this is?! I have actual chills right now. This is an absolute masterpiece.
When I first watched Haikyuu I didn't really took notice of Kageyama even though he was one of the focused characters, and I used to think that he was too cocky or harsh. But after I watched all the way to Season 4, I realised he was trying really hard to control that King of the Court attitude while trying to express himself properly for the sake of the team. If he was egocentric as Tsukishima said he would not have gone through this effort to change, nor have trust issues between teammates (and after watching some spoilers from manga) my impression for Kageyama changed completely.
I even took the effort to rewatch the whole series while taking more notice at Kageyama and I swear the feeling hits so different that it actually hurts. PLS THIS BLUEBERRY IS NOT OVERRATED HE REALLY DESERVES THE LOVE😭😭😭. He is now my favourite character and I am really eager to see his character growth in the anime.

it’s literally one of the best haikyuu themed edit I have ever seen and one of my favourites. You portrayed our King of the Court and the way he was slowly changing through the series so well... you really did him justice. The clips, the song, the audio, the timing, everything fits so well. It’s simply wonderful .

I AGREE SM!! like in 3:30, I love how it shows a clip of him smiling while setting as the lyrics "you're in control" plays. You could say that Kageyama is now more in control of his feelings and himself, therefore enjoying/improving in volleyball sm more, and it just shows how much he's grown. I love this AMV
Oh my God! how does it have so few views!? It's the best "King" amv I've ever seen! And that scene at the end was perfect! It is probably my favorite scene from the entire anime! I just love the relationship between Kageyama and Hinata! I love to see how the "king of the court" changed after meeting Shoyo. I'm in tears with this beautiful video, it gave me an inexplicable feeling. Thanks for posting!

Kageyama is no longer a lonely king now.....he has hinata :) and his teammates I must say . I think hinata changed him a lot. They both have their differences but ik hinata will always be their for kageyama like how they fought they both were still friends in the end I think they should end up together.indeed kageyama just needs someone to love and he has it now :D
