    This was really neat! I never would have thought to make bricks this way! What silicone did you use to make you mold?

    • @medievalmason3929
      @medievalmason3929  Před 3 lety +1

      I used a home made silicon from caulk. This tends to get a lot of air bubbles, however, so I would recommend a smooth-on silicon rubber. You can get it for a reasonable price on Amazon.

      @@medievalmason3929 oh cool. I've got a vacuum chamber, so the bubbles wouldn't be a huge deal. I'd just never seen a silicone quite like that. It almost looked like you were pouring on a thixotropic. Really awesome technique!

    That's awesome man, im loving your videos. I read in the comments that the silicone is one of your inventions... so you mind sharing the tip??... where i live there is no silicone to buy ( for molds ) and the caulk molds i known how to make will not work for something like this.

    • @medievalmason3929
      @medievalmason3929  Před 3 lety

      It was 100% silicon caulk mixed with corn starch and a little mineral spirits. But beware, it took me a lot of failed attempts and a crap ton of silicon until I got it right. I thought about making a video on it, but decided against it since it was so hard to get right, and I didn't want to waist people's money/time.

      @@medievalmason3929 thanks man, i might try some proportions and if i get something i might share it with you so you have that if you want to make a video about it.

      Any chance you'd consider selling sheets of the foam brick walls? Then we could cut them as needed.
