- I had been thinking about building a deer stand for sometime. I finally rounded up all the materials and decided to get started. I tried to film most of it and I think you’ll see along the way that it’s built pretty well. I hope you enjoy the video, if you do please click on like and subscribe. Well worth the money, grwat product
Great job .
Thanks! Have a great day.
Great job. If mother nature gets windy, just move the cables to the top of the stand. Makes it stronger. Just my oilfield opinion. Good choice of colors. I like the green you selected.
Thanks for your kind words and advice on the cables. Makes sense!!!
Awesome video, I’m going to make 2 of them this off season
Personally I think its the right size for one hunter, good job. Curious did you put any insulation under your tin roof ? Just for the noise of a hard rain is why I asked. Here in Ky we get rain but nothing like you guys, good luck out of it.
Thanks for your comment. I did not put any insulation under the roof but I think it makes good sense to next time! Thanks for the idea. Good hunting!
Looks great! Nice job.
Thanks for watching!

Where did you get the door
I purchased the door from Dickinson Feed in Dickinson, TX. I believe they ship anywhere.
What kind of siding/ Sheathing is that? Thank you
It’s Reverse Board & Batten I had left over from another project. I think I purchased it at Lowe’s.
Plytanium Natural/Rough Sawn Syp Plywood Lap Siding (0.3437-in x 48-in x 96-in)
Item #19345
Model #719950

Where did you get the brackets for the legs?
Hey Matt I ordered them off Amazon. They were MoFEEZ brand deer blind brackets (set of four). I think they are about $60.
Do you have the material list for this build just the wood.
5 2”x6”x 8’ treated
25 2”x4” pine studs
2 4’x8’ 3/4” treated plywood
2 4”x4”x8’ treated
4 4’x8’ rough sawn reverse board and batten siding ( I already had these. Plywood will work).
5' × 5' is a nice size
Thank you for your comment!
Why 5x5? Any waste on walls?
I took one sheet and cut it into 4-1’x8’ pieces to add to each side. Makes it easier to take a grand kid with me!!!
Thanks for watching!
Why is the wood pink
It was the cheapest indoor pine studs I could get at the time.
Pre cut studs??
@@terryporche9059 yes sir!
Where did you find the door? Nice build.
Thanks for watching! Please Like and Subscribe! The door is made by a Company called The Deer Blind Window Company. They have a retailer in Dickinson, Texas that I purchased from when I was out that way. They will ship anywhere. WWW.dickinsonfeed.com.
Awesome. Thank you. There just down the road a piece from me.@@twincedarsranch1658
