That second game was epic. Reynor was flooding him for several minutes. The third of Oliveira never had more than 15-20 seconds of peace and yet he almost won the game.
Reynor didn't play bad, that relentless Zerg pressure in game 4 would have cracked most top Terran players. Oliveira is just playing too good holding on countless times and eventually out lasted Reynor. Insane games from both players.
From Oliveira's own review on game 4, he just knew he can beat raynor if he just keep trading with him until late game, his practice with Serral paid off

THAT is some of the best Terrain play I've ever seen. Reynor was playing very well. Oliveria just out played him.

i like his winning reactions... like you really tried hard reviewing for an exam and then you aced it.
Don't think I've ever seen Reynor so frustrated and upset. Even with the benefit of full vision I still have no idea how Oliviera managed to hold against all that pressure for so long.
Could be cheating... I really hope not. China don't have a good history when it comes to cheating.
Oliveira said he practiced many times with Serral on 4th game's map, once it reaches that mid-late stage he would just won. The secret is to stop making marine and start to make high tech units such as tank/hellion/ghost/liberator, try to split map 50/50 and make defensive trades, it would always work out in favor of terran side. Zerg economy will deplete around 30 mins, and he could just push out with thor and other units, while using 2 nukes on top or bottom to force zerg give up defence location, and zerg eventually will make a mistake to cost the game.
I think he also mentioned that reynor's late game doesn't match serral's level so he had a lot confidence to play it slow
@@kishibenoa3346 If you rewatch all the games trying to spot potential cheating, you'll notice like I have on several occasions: Oliveria blindly moving his units in position to perfectly intercept incoming enemy. This is not proof obviously, as there could be multiple factors like standard play to expect certain timing attacks, etc.
The most suspicious is that such an underdog suddenly played the best SC we've ever seen, taking out one top contender after another. Seems too perfect.
To reiterate, I hope I'm wrong. And if Oliveria continues to play at this level, then he is legit.
@@blue-phoenix115 that’s just top level gameplay. They scout in the most random ways and predict where the players stuff is because a single mistake will cost them the game. I mean think of all the pro games with proxy hatcheries. If the opponent doesn’t spot it quickly they kinda just lose, so the pros are way better at predicting literally everything

Gotta say, Zombiegrub's casting is so hype. The energy in her voice is amazing and she's so good at keeping up with what's going on (she was incredible during the her0 colossus micro moment). Not to mention the depth of her analysis breaks too. So good!
There was a point in the cast in game 2 where ZG was doing a play by play but she was doing it like an overhyped fan talking to FD and I loved it. She was even calling FD Ravi instead of his ID.
starting at about 10:00 Zombiegrub gets more hyped up than I've ever heard her. Great game, great cast

im really glad zombiegrub got her footing as a caster, she sounds way more confident now, way better than in the past.

Compared to the methodical Maru, Oliveira is like a fresh breath of Terran play as he is much more aggressive. Action packed game 4.

(Actually it's certainly just habit, can't blame him really, at that point the mental effort to realize you only need one is probably more expensive than the minerals.)

Olivera is new King of Terran!
From time's first stream after he back to china he said that in Game 2 during the big marine push, he was too hyped and he made a misclick that his marine took one extra stim which cause the army to low hp and one shot by the last ling. If he didn't do that stim those marines could survive. And he was joking that after game 2 he thought he could win the series by how he performed in game 2 also after game 2 before game 3 he thought about Rogue, he said if Rogue is in this situation he would go to the washroom break to stop Reynor on fire. So he went to the washroom and calm himself XD.

@@maliniak2 She's emotionally elevating intense and decisive moments in the game, and in these moments there are multiple different key actions occurring in a span of a couple of seconds. These are two competitors are very good players with a lot on the line.
You also have commentators who don't commentate quickly and accurately but still are great to listen to during similar moments.
To each their own, but calling it very stupid is incredibly inaccurate.

With the latest patch + map pool, the games became quicker, more action packed. Haven't seen all games at IEM, but can't recall something stupidly long. Even the 20-30 minute games were always entertaining
