  • I passed my Freediving instructor course! And we explore a local wreck before leaving after three months over-wintering in Radazul Marina, Tenerife. We head to the next Island west called La Gomera and see see dolphins, pilot whales, a logger head turtle and lots of Portuguese Man of War. Arriving in La Gomera is amazing at first but we soon have strong winds and big swells that force us into the marina in San Sebastian. So we head inland to see the Garajonay National Park.

Absolutely cracking video, and I am sure that the satisfaction of getting the gearbox fixed was almost better than you might have had with no problems at all. Very much looking forward to the next one (videos I mean, not engine problems)

Watching your anchor go down into the deep made me think “you could still dive down to check on it” 😉

Thanks Greg - we have been naive enough to do this and stubborn enough to see it through so far!
But also lucky to have supportive friends, family - and so many other things that have allowed us to do this. We are super grateful that is for sure.

Hello one question. At the 26th I am ging to la Gomera. Is there an opportunity to hitch hike to la Gomera? Are they maybe other sailors you know?
So beautyfull to See the animals and Dolphins. Are you driving only with Wind? When is the Wind good for sailing? Maybe I check this in the internet first before I Start trying hitch hiking

Hello - yes you could try at any marina near where you want to leave from and walk around and ask sailors. The winds are often good if you are sailing from Tenerife or Gran Canaria to get there. Yes we try and only use the wind as much as possible. Sometimes we use the small Diesel engine if winds are very light.
