One of my very favourite singers, and this song is one of my desert island choices. It's such a magical song, and the arrangement is amazing. Throw in Mr.Rea's gravelly voice, and it's sheer bliss. I was living in West Africa and out looking for lunch. I stumbled across a local restaurant that was newly opened. In I went, and ordered a cold beer from the lady behind the counter. She turned out to be the proprietor, cook, bar lady, etc. She told me she was from Nigeria , and that her name was Josephine. We chatted for a while, and I asked her if her name really was Josephine. She confirmed it, and I referred to the song of the same name. She had never heard of it. So I sang it her. As I sang, her eyes grew larger, and her gorgeous smile wider. By the time I had finished she was sobbing. Whenever I hear the song, I think of Josephine and her tears of joy. True story, for the sceptics.
