Love your sound! Amazing car collection man, something to aspire to. I have a 87 FJ60 and just got your same setup but with a Flowmaster 40. Do you really recommend going 2.5inch or do you think 2.25 would be fine for a custom exhaust or would that not nearly sound as good?
I really think the bigger you can go the throater it will get. I think I wanted 3" but my muffler guy didn't probably want to mess with it, so he talked me out of it.

Did you use copper seal on the intake and header cylinder head gasket? (Looks like coipper for intake but some silver gunk for the header, what is this?) and is this a remflex gasket? Just bought these tri mils, their on their way in the mail! Also, what header paint did you use, and how much longer will headers last with it vs without it?
I did and got my gasket from toyota, got the header paint off amazon and I think it keeps it from rusting as bad, it's thick paint so maybe insulates a little bit
I have the 2f engine in a old bj40, but i want the same kind of setup you have. Where did you buy the whole setup? Meaning the header plus the tubings?.
can you make a video of you taking it for a drive, with the camera on the inside, to hear cabin noise and to see how it drives out on the road? Thank you
also did you have to get the headers machined to flatten em out? If not, how'd you get the surfaces to level out to where you can add those cut steel plates on there? Thanks dude!
Trying to copy you, but am noticing there’s a slope on bolt hole area 3 and 4, meaning the bar stock will be at an angle. How did you fix this problem for these two spots on the intake? Or did you not worry about the slope?
Yeah I'll see what I can do I did use the back of the fire wall and routes over to a rubber plug on the drivers side to the inside of the cab, and then just went down the passenger side of the frame and tied to the brake lines for the power to the fuel pump
I’ve got the same motor in my 69 fj40 I’m defenitly going to take it to a muffler shop now and have the same setup put on. What fuel injection lid did you put on?
engine is not even close to diesel spec 2F is big 4.2 L it is lacking power from being low compression ratio 7.8:1 where any diesel like 15:1, but the sound is good

I didn't do any machining just used the toyota gasket and the copper seal orange stuff and cut those pieces out of some stock metal
did you desmog your FJ60 yourself, if so what all did you keep fro the emissions system. any reference you recommend for going about that?
I didn’t actually do it myself. It was done when I got it. I do still have my smog pump on the truck but it has a pipe welded shut on it
Whats the benefit of deleting the catalytic coverter? Or is there one? Im curious to know. Id like to do this to my 84.

Is that the ebay header or the SOR header? Also curious about the sniper conversion....is that the Mosley kit? or is it a custom adapter?
I got the headers from TPI 4x4.com. And I already had a Holley 2 barrel with the adapter plate so all I had to do is stick the sniper under that

I just used those pieces and torqued it down hadn't had any problems. Thank you

yes sorry I order the SAginaw bracket I think from cruiser outfitters 801 563 1277 then you just get a GM pump.

The 2F actually has more power and torque than the 4.0 2H which is the diesel engine that was offered.
