Obviously because he was told how it's pronounced. If you were reading her name the first time allowed with no prior knowledge of Japanese pronunciation, you would most likely say "Ott-su-ko" instead of "Ottz-ko", cuz the "su" is silent sorta speak(The japanese themselves don't say it's silent, it's just not annuciated or something, prolly to save time)
@@thegloriousstrategist877 He might also be a fan of hers, as well, which could be another reason why he didn't mispronounce it. Entertainment hosts have still managed to mispronounce foreign names, despite having been told how to pronounce it prior to announcing their guest. I'm simply expressing that I appreciate James didn't mispronounce it.
