when this is currently what he has? And it’s been a great set up until the partisan person kicked him out and he found another person in the same area who welcomed him gladly.
He already has someone collecting mail and a place he considers his domicile. Who does collect mail and maintain his room. Seems a wise use of funds and it’s near where he loves most since childhood. And, where he will retire when his wife finishes in Cali with her acting there.
I have a similar situation, so maybe this will help make sense of how this works …
I’m a native of NYC and upstate. Currently own property in the Midwest for business where I domicile.
When I’m in NY have permanent arrangements that include a place to stay as needed.
I happen to reside in several states.
Set up domicile in the middle of the country for a better cost of living, to retire early back in 2015, pursue author goals in publishing and book touring among other goals.
Part of my consideration was cost of living in NY. Why domicile there when it’s crazy expensive? When I can reside there for very little?
If I domicile where I do it’s way less expensive and I’ve got a lot of excess cash to pursue goals.
But, I can reside in NY upstate where I have a permanent room and place, as needed, when I reside there. This includes the west coast and another Midwest state where I also reside.
These resident locations are set up for long term goals to help with book touring, interviewing authors, etc. plus, central around friends and family who live there making maintaining relationships IRL around the country fun and simple.
RV folks, professionals like musicians, military, etc and snow birds or people who domicile and live up north but go down south for many months each year do this, too.
I use to house sit for a dude that had to be in Japan six months of the year to maintain his tax status. So, I resided at his house part time but maintained an apartment, too.
      There’s so many scenarios.
From my understanding, Mr Kennedy domiciled in NY most of this life. Upon lawyer counsel had to use NY to run for president as this is his domicile state. Doesn’t matter where he resides.
As a candidate must use the same address. So, there’s no way to put a different residence.
He had a place he would stay with friends who was also his listed address.
They got ticked when he ran for prez and ditched the democrat party.
This is how it got messy. But, he did find another place. And, switched all domicile info. Due to the change they added rent.
The previous place was friends saying sure and this ain’t uncommon when people domicile while residing elsewhere. It’s legal.
Technically, the homeowner would be the landlord. But informally don’t use this term. Not uncommon among domicile folk.
This whole thing is ridiculous. Political grandstanding.
Mr Kennedy, like all Americans has the right to domicile in NY or anyplace.
The fact NY pulled this BS saying nope sets a residence to challenge all other domicile folk. When before it was simple.
This is based on my experience and many people who I know that use domicile and residence.
Hope this helps explain my understanding and answer why he doesn’t need to waste money with unnecessary expenses.
Based on the court case it is obvious not a lot of people understand the difference between domicile and residence.
Learning this was a game changer for me. Hope other people, too :)

Because he has multiple addresses and lives in multiple states, the DNC was always going to use that against him to get him off the ballot. It’s legal trickery. But according to the letter of the law, he is in the right and will win on appeal.
Also, even if the information was incorrect, it is still not fraudulent or misleading as he received legal counsel from multiple lawyers with election expertise - and all told him this was the valid way to fill out this form, even though the DNC was likely to sue him no matter what, because it’s not about him doing things right, it’s about getting him off the ballot - and they were going to seek to do it by any technicality they could find. His retainer of experts in the field protects him from some of the nastier things the corrupt DNC and their paid activists might have tried to do.

I dont know if "KICKED OFF" should be the right use of words. But yes they are stopping him probably un lawfully which is why he is appealing. He is a NY resident, all his law licences are held in NY his Falconry license, he has lived in NY since he is a kid and has kept at the very least a room in NY, files taxes in NY which makes him legally a NY resident.

Unbelievable this can happen in this country.Americans can not choose the person they want. Our choices are dictated by the elites with money and the two parties that picked who we can vote for.

I don't understand why the assumption is that RKF is pulling voters from another candidate? Personally, if he's not on the ballot in my state, I'll just skip the top and move right to Senate.

NY is his legal residence otherwise he would be in violation of section 470 for NY attorneys.

Could you expand on that ?
Also, I have not been able to find that NY defines residency for election purposes.

@@dao8805 NY defines residency different than other states, which defines residency as the address from which you vote with a sworn pledge of accuracy. NY defines it as your abode from which you always plan to return, or some such wording. If he had put one if his other residences, CA or the Cape, he would have never been able to win on appeal, because he has only ever voted in NY.

@@jessicajensen1976 Thank you but is that specific to NY attorneys under the section 470 you referenced or does this apply to all NY residents? It seems that there should not be special residency definitions based on a person's vocation,

@@jessicajensen1976 Never mind; I finally found information on Section 470 which answered my question. and explains the background of the law and its rationale. Thank you for the mention of this law which no one else has brought up.
