  • Part two of this wild canoe journey on the Spanish River in October 2018.
Cold temperatures and high water keep Jason Irwin and Jordan Walmsley on their toes, as they solo two big river canoes down this ancient waterway.

Nice work on part 2 Jason. Really like the story telling and think the wide aspect ratio looks great. Those 17’ solo canoe can certainly be tough with some headwind.

Brings me back to my St. John's days!

I'm loving the soundtrack as much as I'm reliving a fabulous trip from years ago that kicked off in Bisco

It's as if you went to film school. This trip, besides being mesmerizing and engrossing, is a lesson in telling a tale. I've put it in my to study folder. Good going. Mark

Jason you and Jordan make a good team. The funny thing about it is you guys just met for this trip. Most people would never do that. Keep up the good work. Enjoying both of your navigational communication. Like I said....Good teamwork!

Glad it has turned out well so far. High risk in those scenarios, so glad you guys are making the right calls with portaging the more challenging rapids. Otherwise great footage and looks like you guys are having fun!

Kudos for maintaining such a positive attitude when the weather can easily get you down. Nothing worse to me than cold rain... You've more guts than me keeping your camera out while running those swifts! Great series Jason.

Cold n wet,, it’s “the way she goes” Ray says, lol 👌🇨🇦👍 nice red breasted nuthatch as a alarm in the opening, then a raven, snow and rain kept the birds down, any owls at night around the campsites? Beautiful river, thank you for sharing. Bob 😎

Admire the stubbornly positive attitude despite those wet, cold conditions. Another great video, thank you!

October is a fantastic time to be tripping in Ontario but every time I've done it there's definitely been a higher sense of "don't mess up," especially around moving water (and several days of snow.) It's interesting how apparent it is that you both became more comfortable with the swifts/rapids as you went on. Can't wait for part 3!
