Ha, Krups is a German Brand from the city of Solingen. I was born there and also grew up in Solingen. And my Mamma worked in the Krups factory, assembling drip ciffe makers, that was in the last millennium...1977 until 1995 she woked at Krups.

Thanks for the thorough review.. especially suggested cups and scoops of coffee; safety is a big plus, turn off a unit when not in use can definitely prevent damage to other items, or self when not aware. Thanks again and God Bless
