DIY Overhead Aquarium Sump Filter

Brought to you an another amazing video "DIY Overhead Aquarium Sump Filter" for crystal clear water. In my experience Top Filter Aquarium provides the best filtration for fresh water aquariums and there is always room for an upgrade. I took this massive 1 meter overhead sump to the next level by adding some live Pothos plants for added filtration. There is no need for the plant maintenance as it feeds on all the ammonia by products from the fish tank and absorb CO2 from the air. Room light is enough for the plant to grow and stay healthy.
I have been building aquarium top filters for a while and I am very pleased with this setup as overhead sump filter is enclosed in a planter box and can't be seen. I have uploaded separate video on how I have built the planter box for this 4 feet tank. All the bio media in the fish tank overhead sump has been cycled and thriving with beneficial bacteria. Five Angelfish, 2 German Blue Ram, 1 Dwarf Gourami, 2 Kuhli Loach and 1 Swordtail has been added to this community fish tank. Tank has been running for almost 2 months now and thought to share fish tank top filtration with all of the Fishaholic viewers.

Great job mate .... the versatility of power heads is really amazing.....at the old house we had a whole bunch of tanks in the basement and ran UG filters with them and it was totally silent and virtually no maintenance .... great video👍

The connection silicone makes with most plastics is pretty shitty, and will eventually fail. If/when it does, chances are you won't be there to catch it. Spend the 5 bucks on a bulkhead.
Also, put a second output pipe, higher than the main one. For backup.
