I support Bayer 04 since 1984 !The Fanbase at that time , wasn`t so big as this year! I saw the Finals in UEFA Cup & DFB Pokal live in the Stadions! The club that I support (win or lose) is my spiritual home, revered and honoured by countless members of my forefathers, it’s my family, my history, my soul, my culture. The place where my Father stood and his father before him, for over a hundred years, the emotion and kinship recorded in the terrace traditions can be experienced. Today loyalty and duty are scorned and allegiance is unfashionable, just like “half and half” scarves or Cockneys supporting Man United, or as Roy Keane termed it “Plastic Paddies”, I suppose that your category.... “Plastic Krauts”?
@@JohnSmith-fr7js actually I have never identified with any English club, Leverkusen is my club. I have not wavered in my support for them in over 10 years. There's nothing plastic about shelling out thousands of pounds to watch your team every season.
