Good evening everyone!
Good evening 😁👍
LIGHT IT UP !!!!!
🤣 Will do 🤘
I think a lot of us are fire bugs. 🤣🤣
@@jeffriffel4364 🤣 Agreed lol
One thing you could add is… a small zip tie to the lighter so that you don’t accidentally loose fluid.
Funny you mentioned that I was watching a video where a gentleman did just that! Thanks for the tip!
@@GreyManPrepping you’re very welcome
I like the small pack. Been using a ziplock and a pocket in my backpack. Definately will adapt what I learned here.
Michael everyday I'm learning and adapting. Glad I could offer some different ideas 👍
Wow that match was awesome! In water and comes right back!
They are really cool and work well in a hurricane environment. 😀
@@GreyManPrepping we lived in Central Florida and went through Charlie, Frances and Gene and lost power with all 3! It was such a miserable 60 days they just hit bam bam bam! Hurricane season is no joke
Thanks Grey, as an old time Scout and leader for more than 16 years you taught me things I didn't know. Love it😘
Really that's great to hear, I miss my time in the scouts, great learning experiences as a youth. Have a wonderful day Kim. 😁
Thanks Greyman! Enjoyed watching 👍🏻 those matches are amazing! AKA -Karen Murphy
Hey Karen, and thanks for watching 😁
Excellent fire starting kit, You have your bases covered.
Thanks brother 🤘
👍Thank you! Have a great evening!
Thanks, you to 😁
Hey, Grayman! Hope your (our) birthday was a great one!!
It was! Had a few surprises pop up lol and thank you
They called me Torch when I was a kid 🔥
🤣🤣 Love it AP 👽 🤘
Love your shirt. Great ideas. I never heard of Fire Paste, awesome. Thank you Grey.
Thanks Van Ru 🇺🇲💪 I figured there would be a few things folks may not have or seen before 😁
THANK YOU so much for helping even old people. lol
My pleasure June, 😁💛
Thanks Grey God Bless you too. 🙏❤️🙏
Same to you Linda! 🙏💛
I don't know how water resistance regular lighters are, but I vacuum seal the lighters to keep them dry and cut a small notch on the plastic so its easy to tear when the time is needed.
I lost my CRKT 4" knife and it now cost double of what I bought it for a few years ago, apparently knives are good metric for inflation.
Great idea and yes my shop specializes in knives and the prices are definitely going up even at the wholesale side of things brother.
Another great video brother. Awesome to see that lens made it into your kit. Stay safe!
Yes Sir 🤘 I couldn't for the life of me remember the company name. I think I'm going to do a full breakdown of what they have to offer. Again thank you for your kind generosity brother 🙏
Thanks gray! I have a fire kit that’s decent but I definitely learned about a few new things. Thanks
Good to hear, that is the goal is to help others and possibly spark some ideas.
I love fire! My favorite way of lighting fire is my cotton balls soaked in Vaseline! Although, I'm slightly neurotic and have a bunch of different ways to make fire in my kit. {I also keep burn cream because I'm clumsy} 🥴... Thanks GreyMan! Great video!
🤣 🔥 Burn cream is definitely a must! Thank for taking the time to watch Dragon 🐉 😁👍
Good demo. Love the large matches and never heard of fire paste. We did put dryer lint in egg shell carton and cover with wax. Works pretty well.
Thanks, my wife save all the dryer lint for me as well, I have an idea that I want to try down the road 😁
I made pocket-sized EDC tinder kits from little pill bottles stuffed with dryer lint and Vaseline. Wrapped a couple of matches into a bit of a plastic straw (heat seal both ends) to fit inside. I gave these as stocking stuffers several years ago. The kids (adults) though they were cool. My daughter showed hers to me the other day, still in her purse every day. I wrapped the pill bottles with about three yards of duct tape, as an added bonus. You’d be amazed at what survival goodies you can fit in a pill bottle or an altoids tin!
@@WinkTartanBelle That's awesome Wink, I've used straws aa well to seal tinder in, did a video along time ago. I agree altoid tins are great for building mini edc kits. 😁🤘
Thank you sir
My pleasure brother 👍
Very nice video. Your kit is similar to mine but I like lighting up the packs of alcohol wipes and cotton rounds dipped in candle wax. They're much less messy than the cotton ball.
Thanks JT and excellent option. Yes they can definitely be a bit messy 😁
Cheers Gray! I'm glad you're talking about simple, but very important topics. We need to take care about everyday lives, cause future looks pretty dark. We also need strong community to overcome upcoming issues. Stay safe, brother!
Absolutely KT, sometimes folks will get a bit complacent but we need to stay on our toes! 🤘
hello Grey :) Of CouRse CR noticed that you said it . You might say it more than me in videos/streams :) full of flame , spark and heat( solar in this case) methods with tinder. A bellows isn't needed but can help get more oxygen in (more or hotter flames) I remember doing that to those matches the first time i got my hands on them . One of the biggest thing to remember about fire is "surface area" as a wise teacher once told me. Take CaRe the grey family :)
Great points CR, I have a small foldable bellow that I could add to my kit 😁🤘
Have lots of Maxpedition stuff too, but I use a TFAK from Eberlestock for my fire kit bag since it can be MOLLE mounted and still be able to be "torn away" with velcro
I'll have to look at the TFAK, I am a gear junkie lol 😆
@@GreyManPrepping same here. Just ordered a Minuteman .50 cal ammo can rocket stove for my B-Day gift to me with the Labor Day Sale. Also, Jase has a $20 off code for this weekend as well (JASE20)
Excellent video.
Thanks so much Dale 🙏
I have, lint, tinder- wood, ferro rod, bic lighter, fatwood, presoaked fire starters, and my home made bow drill kit. I have 3 fire kits in different bags and bergens.
Great to hear Mark, sound like a solid kit brother 🤘
@@GreyManPrepping we were taught well in the regiment. How to survive and how to complete the task in hand. Always challenging your skills and experience. Legio Patria Nostra.
@@marksadventures3889 Roger that brother 🤘
liked. great demo. good stuff for all folks concerned.
Thanks brother!
I never heard of fire paste. Husband probably has but not me. Will be ordering it or finding it. Thanks! Have a great week!
I have it linked down below in the video description, good stuff 😁 Have a great day Tammie 👍
Always learn something.
Great to hear Karin 😁 Have a wonderful evening. Thanks for watching.
The Fire paste is cool I don’t think I have ever seen it now got to get some lol. Great video
Thanks BaBa, it's definitely great stuff and very affordable. Have a great day 😁
Good information. I see that I need to add a few items.
Thank you and glad it was helpful. Love to spark ideas in others when it comes to emergency preparedness 😁
@@GreyManPrepping Happy belated birthday to you and Ms. Grey!
@@littleloneprepper4820 Thank you 😊
Pretty good 👍❤️✝️
Thank you Raka 😁
Nice kit brother! Always learning on your channel.
Thanks Celtic, love the feedback 😁🙏
Bag looks great. One question - do you keep that fire starting kit on the inside of your pack or the outside? I wouldn't trust the velcro if you are storing it on the outside. All my kits have mechanic attachments plus I will put some sort of lanyard with a carabiner to retain them
Hey Robert, these are all stuck to the inside of my bags. They all have a wall attachment to stick them to but makes it easy to remove. Maxpedition offers many modular systems that work well with each other. I wouldn't trust velcro on the outside either, especially hiking through the woods. 👍
@@GreyManPrepping perfect. Expected as much but had to ask to verify.
Fire paste wouldn't ship to my state but I got something similar headed my way
No problem brother, and awesome! Hopefully it works in the same manner. Years ago Jonathan Hollerman "survival expert" turned me on to the fire paste. 🔥
I went bush with a friend for a week. He lost his hatchet on first day - I had mine with a hole in the handle & lashed to my pack - just in case - lesson learned for him & we found it 2 weeks later where he lost it on the track out.
😎👍
Thank you 😁👍
Great video my friend.P.S. great t-shirt
Thank you kindly brother and yes it is one of my favorites!
Nice kit and demo. I love the fire paste. 👍👍
Hey D, How are ya, and yeah the fire paste is awesome! Learned about it from Jonathan Hollerman a several years ago. Figured I'd share lol 😆
@@GreyManPrepping hey I’m doing good. Busy as usual. I remember fire paste, actually it was called fire ribbon from back in the late 80’s. Really works good.
Great to hear and that it was!
I'm not familiar with the paste either. Thanks.
You are so welcome!
Uh huh 🤙
Great video. I don’t see the link for the vasoline/bic lighter/paracord thing. How do you soak cotton balls in vasoline?
Hey Susan I will direct you to this video I did a while back I think a year ago. This should answer your questions. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to me here or at my email which is down below in the video description. Have a great day.

Is that the 3”x5” or the 5”x7” Maxpedition zipper pouch in your video ? It looks like it’s the 5”x7”, but your link is to the 3”x5”.
Hey Rocko, it's the 3x5 but I do have a few of the 5x7's as well for instance I keep my water filtration gear in one.
Thanks !
Brother Grey i had to be the one to make it 666 likes, also i dont have a comprehensive fire kit, i just keep some fire starting stuff on me at all times just incase theres a need for it.
Hey Fox 👋 Yeah that's weird lol hopefully someone will fix it soon 😆 before folks freak out lol
@@GreyManPrepping we shall see hahaha.
Get your GreyMan fire starting kit for only $39.95 wink wink nod nod
Right lol Great idea 😆
Can’t View 😩
What seems to be the issue? I checked and everything looks good on my end aa we'll as others. Maybe check another phone, tablet, PC and see if you're having the same problem.
It just took a bit to load….I just tried again…Thanks….Probably Network issues 🫶🏽 Thanks Watching Now❣️
Oh ok great Florida Glitz 😁
We're all gonna die 😅🥳🥳
Yeah one day we will, it's up to you if you want to do what you can to prepare yourself or your family for emergencies and possibly extend or save your life or others. Just my perspective.
@@GreyManPrepping It's just my dogs and I, taking every day as it comes. Thanks for the good vid🇨🇦✌️
