Good repair Mick, you have repaired a case of neglect. We are still in the snow blower season, and first cut of grass in May.

Nice tips there. It would have been good to clean the air filter and see if it started. What you did was the proper way to make it run reliably for the next 20 years or so though.

Good job mate, makes me wonder some people have to leave them outside. I wonder if there’s anything they can do to prevent this problem
Maybe wrap it in a tarpaulin maybe a blanket first and a tarp second something to absorb moisture maybe there’s a product there that could be invented and sold the people on CZcams you’d make a fortune……..!
Some kind of fabric lined tarpaulin with elastic edges to keep the mower safe over winter ………!
The other trick I’ve seen recently is slipping a bit of acetone in the fuel to get them to light off ……..
Hi mate .. well the best thing is keep it in doors... But like you say you need to cover it to keep it out the rain..
You can leave your mower outside. I put a bin lid over it with a brick on it. Lasted 17 years like that in the Chicagoland weather. If you can put it inside your carriage space, it is better though.
No issue unless the deck is exposed to the ground. At EP we had a relatively new mower given to use stored outside with a tarp but on the lawn and the deck had rotted in half due to the moisture from the ground. Better to have it set up covered on patio blocks eh?
@@waynestefinashen239 Ya, your right mate. That ground moisture will for sure rust out your deck! I had a gravel space where I kept the mower, that must have had something to do with the lack of rust.
