- Learn How to Easily Etch Glass using Armour Etching Cream and a Cricut Vinyl Stencil.
Recently, I fell in love with the look of etched glass and decided to learn how to etch glass on my own! After scouring the web for all of the best tips and tricks to get great results, I finally had a go at glass etching and guess what? I totally love it!
It's a great permanent alternative to using a vinyl decal and the best part is it's dishwasher safe!

Glass etching is on my “things-to-try-next” list. Love the tutorial.
Late to the party, but just etched 2 designs at once on a wine glass first time and its perfect! Many thanks for your easy to follow tutorial without the jargon and ramblings.
I love the look of etched glass. I had no idea my cricut could do such a thing! Now I am intrigued. This handy dandy machine can do it all!!!
Oh, Miss Poppy, because of you I made homemade candle holders for everyone for Christmas! Bought battery operated candles and glass containers at Dollar Tree and made them super affordable gifts. I can't thank you enough!!
Great job! I'm so glad to hear this video was helpful for you!
This is BY FAR the best video I've seen to describe etching on glass. WONDERFUL and so simple, even I did it. Will watch more for sure. TY
I just watched a video of someone etching on a pyrex baking dish and it did work.
I would love to make some custom wine glasses like this! It would be a great personalized gift for bridesmaids!
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! I love all your videos and projects. I can't wait to make this as gifts for my Family!!!
I have a question, what kind of Vinyl do you use? 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Pretty sure this is going to be one of my next things to try. Soo pretty
Wow I didn't realize this was cutting away at the glass. And dishwasher safe too?! That's the dream!! Will have to try this at some point 🙂
Isn't that neat? You should try it out! It's great for bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts!
Thank you, great tutorial ❤️
This is awesome! thanks for the very clear video!
I absolutely love your videos!! I always wanted to try this but was not sure. Always worrying if they were dishwasher safe. I finally got to make some for me and my sisters and they came out nicely.
Can't wait to try this!
It's a lot of fun!
I have did something big really big it works great
I’m ready to try this. Thank you for sharing.
great tips
This was so helpful!
U make really good videos. Tyfs.
Hi how are you? I’ve tried etching glass and it doesn’t come out clear. I’ve also used the vinyl and it seeps under the vinyl. What can I do? I’ve followed what I see on many videos.
Can you use a regular stencil that you purchase at dollar tree ,& Do you still need transfer tape?
Love it
Awesome 👏🏾
How do u know what size to make ur stencils
Hmmm.... The one you made on camera said felt balls, when finished you put pink paper in it and went to show it to the camera but then it cut to the one on your work desk that said buttons and had purple buttons in it. Did the felt balls one you made on camera not turn out how it was suppose to? And if so what happened as it would be helpful to know what mistakes to avoid and how it can go wrong
What cricket machine would you suggest I try first as a beginner
Great tut, what do you mean, transfer tape? would book tape or packing tape work, good looking project
I absolutely love watching your videos!!!! Thank you for all you do. I have all the materials I need to etch, now I just need to do it 🤗
Do you have to keep or remove centre of letters plz as i they keep coming off when weeding the rest of the letters
Hi do you have any videos on how to do the stencils etc
good video but I etch actual "pyrex" all the time without issue
Me too.
It does work on Pyrex
On some it doesn't
My etching doesn't come out so frosted. What can I do to make it look more frosted? I hope I make sense lol
It makes dollars not cents
Trying to find etching cream and Apparently ALL the Crafters in my Town have BOUGHT it ALL LMAO
Try Amazon
Can paint be added to a etched glass after you etch it ? Thanks
Thank you so much for this video. Just a quick question, doesn’t it matter if the vinyl is matted of if is permanent?
I find the permanent vinyl has a better grip and doesn't allow the etching cream to leak underneath it.
are you using warm water or room temperature water?
Newbie here: what type of vinyl is used for sketching?
Removable or stencil :)
Does the temperature of the water matters?
I absolutely love your tutorials! They are so professional, informative and I love that I'm learning to use our cricut machine! I'm Esther, my husband is Glenn so I just didn't want you to think you were chatting with him. LOL He makes wood signs, but I'm looking to make things with the cricut. I LOVE your work space. You are so organized. That is something I am striving for in 2020! :)
Glenn Brock Hi Esther! Thank you SO much. I have several posts on craft Room organization on SWeetredpoppy.com that you might enjoy! I’m always reorganizing trying to find the best methods for my space!

I'm super new to crafting of any kind. I just retired in June of this year. And thought glass etching would be something for me to learn. I have all of the supplies even a circut maker.
My question is how do I create cursive stencil with my circut maker?
