Wow I had always practiced finding the wall, hold, and the press the trigger. I need to change it up to this now. I basically was performing the Mantis X Drill “Surprised Break”
An interesting training exercise. Thank you for sharing it. But if you had a Taurus pistol with restrike capability, you could practice this drill in dry firing mode at your home. You wouldn't have to go to a range to practice it with live ammo. One of several advantages of carrying and training with a quality pistol that possesses restrike capability. Dry firing is an underrated environment for pistol handling.
As a dry fire drill with a DA/SA pistol, with a laser on it pointed at a wall, that's a very powerful exercise to do it all without the laser moving off target at all through a full DA pull. Absolutely needs to be mixed up with live fire though - at least for me I find it's too easy to think you're doing well while having your grip slightly off in a way that would ruin your live fire follow--up shot performance.
Has this series ended? Hope not. Did not see a video this week. This series contributed to my growth better than any other. Thanks
Getting off the trigger is king. I’ve been riding- incorrectly for years.
Never seen this drill before. Thanks!
Like this exercise. Gonna work on it.
best part of course for sure !
Espectacular felicitaciones!! Desde argentina ciudad de mar del plata 👍👍🇦🇷

But who’s to say your wrong for finding the wall?
Hi Myles, I would like to know if you close one eye when you shoot?
