I listened Hunting High and Low record for the first time when I was 11 yrs old in 1985 Years and used to listen it from the very beginning with take on me to the very end with Here I stand over and over again and listening specially this song towards the end of the album felt some kind of nostalgia the whole album was truly a roller coaster of sentiments; a perfect album with perfect lyrics, Melodies and Perfectly crafted with Morten’s voice , such a perfect album that will stay forever in my heart from my childhood to my very ending days on this earth.
I dedicate this to my soul cat, Pepe, who I lost this week and he passed wrongly believing I no longer loved him. I let him down so, so much at the end. I love him more than life itself, he is literally my heart. Can't eat, can't do anything only cry. I want to be with him. Two days in a row I have struggled, very weak, to a Church over half an hour walk away, where I have lit votives and then spent time inside sobbing, despite not being religious I just needed something. This morning inside this song came to me, and as I left the Church doors it was pouring down with rain. I kept on thinking of this song all the way home. Please nobody make fun of my comment, I am hurting like I've never felt ever before. I just hope to be together with my sweet, sweet boy, my little cheeky panther, again very, very soon 🐈⬛ 💔 Edit: I will copy this wherever his song is, I want his memory alive as much as possible 😭
This track, Living a boy's adventure tale and Early Morning are definitely in my top 3 fav A-ha songs of all time. Plus the entire Scoundrel Days album 😉. A lot of people know them for their pop/commercial work in the 80's but us true A-ha fans know they're 20X more than that. Their songwriting, although mostly Paal, is serious as hell. The themes running through the Scoundrel Days album not only deal with some serious issues like suicide and murdering your partner and living with the guilt (I've been losing you), but musically they have a melodic, serious undertone to their non- radio and non-commercial work. Side note: anyone else notice Morton, Paal and Mags never seem to age one bit? Holy hell, either all 3 have amazing genes or the water in Norway is sacred 😳 Moreover, Morton's voice is still on point. No cracks, scratchiness, etc..just as pure, powerful and pristine as it was back in '84 Keep rocking you Norwegian superstars you!! 😃😃😃😃😃
I fully agree with you! a-ha is a dark band, as Morten said in a recent interview...lol And it's really amazing how they don't age, especially Morten's voice...lol usually the voice ages too, but he was 60 years old there and the voice remains crystal clear and in tune as always!
SHHHHH*T THEY ARE GOOD !! I think they are massively overlooked for the talent they have live and the mountains of work they’ve produced... but still going now proves that music runs in their blood .... just beautiful thanks for uploading xx
Without a shadow of doubt, A-ah are probably one of the best bands of the 80's by a long way. I have seen them twice live, and both times I was absolutely blown away by their live performances. Morten's voice is simply on another level, and the bands musical ability and arrangements compliment him like a hand in glove. I have just booked to see them this year on their 2020 UK tour, and I simply just cant wait. Legends.👍😎🎤🎸🥁🎹🎵

Felizmente a banda não acabou, Nice. Eles estavam em turnê comemorando 35 anos do álbum Huting High and Low, mas tiveram que interromper a turnê por conta da pandemia. A turnê será retomada em 2021 ainda em um show na cidade do México. Eles também tinham vários shows marcados para o Brasil, que ainda não foram remarcados.
A-ha didn’t actually end…this performance was in 2019 at the beginning of their Hunting High & Low World Tour. It was interrupted a few months later halfway through due to Covid, and they only managed to complete it this year in the summer of 2022. They have also just released their new album True North which they recorded live in the Arctic North of Norway…it’s their 11th studio album…go check it out….
Does anyone know where the intro voice comes from? The melody sounds to me like "Miserere Mei Deus" from Allegri, but none of the versions I've heard sounds like this one 💔
